Ha, Todd. I have every intention of making it to the '13 LS Fest and/or Shootout. No promises since time is just not a luxury I have, but I'll bust *** when I can.
The truck has a Cognito 10-12" in front, set at around 11. The rear is an 8" deaver pack. Wheels are 20x12"

Least that's what the tin foil hat people tell me in my dreams....wait did I just say that out loud?

Nope, but I do have a question. I'd post it on yellow bullet but this retarded server blocks that site.
Procharger/gear drive guys- Alum blocks. I've read all about the RHS block cracking issues. I think the last thing I saw was that Kurt was doing some re-enforcing on that block to curb the issue. Do you guys think this issue is limited to the RHS block? Mine is a 5.3 alum block that erl is throwing everything including the kitchen sink at. Just thinking out loud and hope I don't run into the same thing with a F3/gear drive hanging off the front of it.

I think between Kurt, ERL, and maybe Justin Smith you could get some honest opinions.
I'm a fan of the iron LSX block, works good.
Maybe we'll see you in Bradenton next year?

PSJ- I'd love to make Bradenton but at the rate I'm moving (and working) I will be lucky to make either Indy or Bowling Green. Can't complain about being employed though!
Todd- Will do as soon as I'm able. Always like getting you guy's take on this stuff.

The ERL block will be fine. It won't crack like the RHS block. Which is too rigid for the amount of material they built it with, so it cracks. If you crack the ERL block it will be because of power etc... There have been a bunch of fairly mild RHS blocks that have cracked that I know of. And some of the LSX blocks were prone to having the cylinders breaking in there earlier blocks with out some modifications. The lastes versions of the LSX blocks have supposedly resolved that, but some of the new blocks have no register on the mains, so you have to inspect them very well too. Very nice build you have going on there!

Nice looking parts....my take, put a LS Next (Dart) in it and be done with that non-sense (although not proven, Richard Maskin has had the experience of the failed aftermarket blocks to date, plus his own success to work from). I am sure this will work out.
Hard to believe no-one can make a decent LS engine block without hiccups. The ERL you have is the most sound foundation, but it is a stock case from the oiling perspective, cam location, lifter valley, etc. They have been proven.
Keith Berry is making close to 2600-2800HP on the RHS tall deck piece. Seems to be pretty stout to me! The issues I have heard of have been on std. deck heights, not to say they couldn't occur on the tall decks, but their are a few of those out making good steam with success.
The LSX's I have owned and worked with have a terrible core shift issue. I have been told there are 'good' ones and seen pictures, but everytime I get one it is a turd, and damn there heavy! - but so will be the LS Next.
Not to shift the discussion,,,,, nice engine package, is this getting 12-2's? Does yours got oilers?

Haven't been on here a lot lately. With all the time that was poured into the powerplant I am not sweating it. Work has absolutely owned my life as of late and exactly zero has been accomplished with the TA aside from the dust it's collected. I have not been home in 10 months. Needless to say, it won't run this year nor make any event for some time to come. Just have bigger fish to fry.
Helicoil- Yes this one has 12-2 heads with a lot of time and work put in on the package by ERL/WCCH/AllPro and more. I have no doubt when it's running everyone that is involved will be proud of it.
Sidenote- the heads I bought from you for my C5 should finally be put together. I decided to change the springs out and changed to Inconel exhaust valves. Turned out the new exhaust valves were a bit too long once we did get them but was a quick turn-around to get the right ones. That car kind of snowballed..again..over the winter/spring as I was waiting on parts.
