haha i know what you mean, the tow truck? we might lsx the thing eventually at the time we had the 454 laying around and it was easy to install without doing fuel pumps, injectors, megasquirt, msd, etc etc.

swapped to a cast larger s480 unit today, going to do some dyno testing and track racing this weekend weather permitting

car made 600rwhp before on 22lbs of boost and 16deg of timing and went 9.86 @ 140mph consistently

we will see how the bigger exhaust 80 does

Also, what size is your belt and where is your belt tensioner located?
You can just use the truck brackets just reroute your belt. I'm sure there just using a stock rack. It's fine just to use a power steering rack with no power steering .. But I just use the stock location for the tensioner on my fairmont.

Can't wait to get mine running. Doing a L33 with a trick flow cam, eBay head studs, LS9 gaskets, holley high rise intake and 80lb injectors in a fox as well. Went with the VS Racing 80mm turbo and I am hoping for about 700rwhp. Still wonder if I should have gone with an s475 or 480 to meet my goal.

with the earlier turbo, was 600rwhp at 22psi kind of low for that amount of boost? or was that because it was a 220k mile JY LS, or maybe the 22psi was because of some sort of restriction?

Wow those big heads really move some air. A small cam would be another 100 hp.
Cant wait to see it run.

in my experience these stock headed lm7s do not really like the ls9 cam
