Alrighty. Time to Purchase the stupid power mod.

D1SC 8 rib 3.4 with FMIC
A1000 fuel Pump
Tsp ls6 style oil pump
57# siemen injectors
160 tstat

Still debating on a meth kit

I have a 04 ls1 with 12k miles.
I my main concern is the engine (and my rear...but i could Use a Reason to buy a 9")

Will my engine hold at about 8 lbs of boost?
I dont really wanna tear my engine apart until i can afford 317 heads (or a lq9 as a whole)
The rear is a less of a concern since i wont have any traction until about 70mph
(yay street tires)

I could say..... but,

If you are going to run a 3.4 pulley you are going to make alot more than 8lbs of boost.

That is enough pump, and injector for at least 6xxrwhp. It is a crap shoot. Keep it really conservative. Keep the timing down, and that AFR fat. and having both the steam vents setup will help. Methanol helps. The rear end will be toast in no time depending on how you drive it. 8lbs will put you upwards of 550 with bolt ons and a cam. either way, its been said a 1000 times....some of them live like that for a while....some dont last a day. The lq9 is a great way to go. Id keep the boost low so you can drive it a while, then once your able to buy a new motor, turn it up, and see how far you can push it. Unleashed has a rearmount oil less turbo system making over 800rwhp and his is stock. I made 600 on the dot, and the heads came off on the dyno. partially because of an aggressive tune. you may get one of these though. There is alot more to be concerned about now that you are going forced induction. Its sometimes unimaginable what you are getting into, especially going turbo.

So will it hold, good tune (safe) and just eight pounds sure. The question is really how long? Ya might go thousands of miles or like me drop number 7 after about 1500 miles on an LS1 that had about 2000 miles on it. All I can say is be ready in the event something goes wrong.

If i want say 6psi of boost, what do i need? I basically just wanna buy it and get it on the car for now. Get adjusted to the power and build from there.
As for driving habits, i can control my foot. I did during the break in period of my block and i can for this too

If you want 6lbs of boost try using a 4.5 blower pulley. As far as "will it live" absolutely nobody has the answer to that. It is all about how good the motor is and how well it is tuned. It may make 475 hp on 6lbs with a bad tune and blow up in 500 miles. Then again it could make 600 hp on 11lbs with a perfect tune and live forever. What im getting at is do what you fell comfortable with and make sure the tune is spot on. My car makes 581 on 10lbs with no meth and low timing. Will it hold? Who knows. It has so far...

OP you "should" be ok with 8lbs on a stock motor.. some are and have lived with more and some have never made it off the dyno. Its a crap shoot like mentioned above. I would not push much past the 550-575rwhp mark personally. And meth would be a neccesity. Not only is it a way to run a little more timing but it will help with your IATs. I would also go with atleast flow matched 60's for injectors. Good luck..

If you do things properly you should be fine 550-600rwhp I'm not saying it won't pop I'm just saying a lot of people have had good success keeping our motors alive at that hp level. I put about 30 bottles through my car making 590rwhp 585rwtq. And now 1000miles and 12 dyno pulls and I've been daily driving my Camaro since I got procharger on. Making 670ish rwhp. Meth is a must! Or e85! Or both! Dont skimp on fuel system!
