The inner rail had to be notched slightly but nothing exterior.

That is a 1.25" breather tube to vent the motor, there is one on each valve cover.

Def bringing this post back from the dead but I was reading over you post on here and yb and didn't see the detailed specs on the 450" motor. What's the specs on the bore/stroke of this tall deck setup? Thanks Phil
