Default 3 psi gain?

How much should I gain from 15psi going to say 18 psi, I'm new to super chargers I should be somewhere around 800rwhp at 15 psi.

Depends on the setup.

I run 17 psi, and I'm only at 700....torque kick *** though.

I know turbos the best, but I ASSume there is some sort of BOV on superchargers? You should be able to add boost by increasing spring pressure on the valve so more pressure is needed to relieve over pressure.

Your bypass valve is all the way closed under boost. There is no adjustment you can make to it to increase boost.

Increase or lower your boost by changing the pulley size on your blower. Smaller pulley's increase boost, larger vice-versa.

depending on your pulley size, and overall setup will determine how hard the blower spins.

your f1-a is a 74,000 rpm blower.

another key factor is RPM. Even with a 3.4 blower pulley on my car I will have to raise the rpm to 6700 to get the D1SC to spin 62,000.

The formula goes like this.

To determine the impeller speed, the following formula is used:

Maximum impeller speed = crankshaft pulley diameter (N1) divided by supercharger pulley diameter (N2),multiplied by the step-up ratio (4.10 for the P-series/D series - 5.40 for the F series), multiplied by engine rpm at redline.

blower pulley divided by supercharger pulley times step up times rpm

7.65 / 3.4 = 2.25 times 4.10 = 9.25 times 6700 RPM = 61,807.5

thank bob for that info.

Is Lashway limiting your boost cause of pump gas or belt slip or what?

If you put down 800 HP at 15 psi, you are going to have to be well in the 20's in order to put down 1000 HP down at the rear tire.

It isn't a guarantee, but a lot of folks have struggled with belt drive issues and head issues at those levels of boost/flow.

Oh well lol, I don't think i'm gunna push it past 20 psi anyways. Just would be a cool thing to have under the belt haha.. plus i'm fighting thru 4l80 for power.

Yea, don't see it doing 1000rwhp, especially on pump. And I doubt an 8 rib would handle 20psi without any slippage. Using head studs I assume? Should be quite a handful when its done. We'll have to meet up once you get her back.

Yeah 1/2 head studs main studs
Callie's dragonslayer crank diamond pistons 9.5-1
Ls9 gaskets with ported 317 heads
I'd love to do e85 but nowhere to buy around here
Josh and Erik said I shouldn't have belt slip with aster bracket but that was when talking about 15-18 lb range but 8-900 rwhp is gunna be crazy
