I'll be interested to see this build. I'm in the process of starting my build with the stock LS1 TA, 76MM and a Moser 9" as well. I have a 6.0 that I'm building on the side as well.

made some progress over the past week or so. motor is finally together. got the new coolant crossover system done that was a huge pain in the *** getting it the way i wanted but im pretty happy with the way it worked out. have to see if the alt fits up on the pass side head, but i have a good contingency plan if it hits the fitting.

ended up having a valve seal issue so i had to pull the valve train apart to replace those and added the rest of the brain tooley springs kit to go with the springs i had purchased. that stuff is top notch, best and by far the lightest dual spring kit i have seen, retainers are insanely light.

coolant crossover setup (assembling AN lines blows):










i love how dull and un-imposing the motor looks, and that the 4.8/5.3 imprinted stands out like sore thumb. "yeah its a truck motor, i promise. . ."

hoping to get the fuel system and wiring back in the car this weekend, possibly the motor. going out of town to get married so not much will happen during the next couple weeks

after just finishing up doing my whole fuel system, i can relate as to how much i hate making AN lines. everything looks great though.

what did you torque your headstuds too?

Looking great I like how you did hour coolant crossover lines. Was that done by you? It looks very nicely done.

Awesome build! I did my coolant stem hoses the same way on my old car, Only thing I did different is actually tap the heads.

Any updates on this build? My Forged LS3 project is complete and I'm curious to see what that TC76 put out. I'm still on my TC78...dyno in the next few days. Trying to get an idea of what these turbo's will put out on higher boost levels.

hoping for +/- 625 on 10#'s and 700-750 before the turbo runs outs of steam. thatll be plenty to run the et i want

not by choice. with doing stuff like this at my new shop i find i spend exponentially less time on my own ****. its sucks. this is the longest my car has been down in 11 years and i hate it. getting married took a ton of time as well. last big shop project is done and the wedding is over so time to get going
