Have you got a flex joint in your crossover? I had one and it ended up sucking the inside of the flex in! I could not fit a 5/8 headed bolt through it! Just another idea

Turns out the main issue was the cheater slicks making the dyno at RPM read wrong. They were getting all out of shape before the one finally blew up. I put a set of 235/75/15's on it for the drive home and a few weeks later I ran it again at my regular dyno guy, the car made 380-ish at 4400 with no changes to the tune. We could still only run it up to 4400 because the tires are S rated (112 mph) and in fourth gear at 4400 we were spinning them at 139. They were getting all weird again right at 4400. As for tuning it was set to pull almost all the timing out above 3900 so when that was fixed it eventually made like 430-something at 4400 on 10 pounds.

I sold the car a while back, the new owner flew in to Los Angeles and drove it 1900 miles back the Chicago area. The car worked perfectly and he reported open road gas mileage as high as 34 MPG cruising at 80 in sixth gear at 1700. These motors are amazing!

Next up I'm building a 1954 Corvette with a 4.8, NV3500 5 speed and a Magnum ball bearing T72. That and a possible twin GT45 junkyard 4.8 powered 1932 Ford Roadster for Bonneville. Stay tuned!

I love this car!

Why are you going with a NV3500 in the Corvette? My S10 has one in it and just with the 4.3 V6 it sounds like going to blow up. The NV4500 is better, but its still not a car tranny.
