Default Boosted Big Cube on Pump Gas Ideas?

I just recently purchased another 2000 ws6. My previous ws6 i had tsp 408 n/a 6 speed, got in some money issues and had to sell. Now settled down, married, and stable income i decided to buy another ta and start a long project. Only this time i want to do a big cube boosted pump gas build. i just want stupid, retard, street power. What compression also to get most power from the 93 octane? I want to retain ac and all other options. not sure what engine, turbo, supercharger combos will work best for my goal since never really delt with boosted applicatons. This is also my first time posting a thread on here. Just looking for some opinions or real builds that people have done. No real hp goal although everyone wants to say they have a 1k horsepower car, no matter what fuel choice. ive seen plenty hit the 1k mark on pump though. whether their truthful about the fuel or what i just know what i watch and read.

thanks
stephen

my first thoughts would be 434, or 454 lsx, ls7 heads, victor jr intake, lonnies perf fuel system, and a 91mm single front mount????? Sound like a good idea?

Check out the superdeck 6 bolt blocks from ERL. You wont have to worry about head sealing and save a bunch of weight too. Pick up a 427 shortblock from them, a set of Trick Flow CNC 245's, a custom cam, Vic Jr, the 91 you mentioned, and bam 1000rwhp.

well since this thread was started i have decided to do lq9 408 for boost. and a borg s91. getting a junk yard engine in next few weeks to tear down and start getting the long list of parts together. the lq9 will hold all i can get out of pump gas and meth i believe. machine shop few miles from house so can save a lot doing myself. plan on doing l92 heads and victor intake and lonnies fuel system. may chg my mind hundred times but that what goal is at moment.

Ussually #1 for big power = you get what you pay for.

Then the question is, whats stupid power to you? Whats the highest hp car you've driven so far?

Most people throw out 1000rwhp but have no clue of the expense, short lived motor/drivetrain ect.

For street cars I like 750-800rwhp.

something like a 370 or 408 with an 88 mm or so would be a great setup and make big power.

You also say you have a machine shop down the street. How well versed are they on LS motors?

To go to 1000 rwhp there are alot of things you do to these motors differently compared to a 550-600rwhp build.

i plan on doing a s91. that should be large enough. i had a texas speed 408 short block in the last ta made just over 500 wheel with my cheap bbk intake and stock home ported heads and comp 610/612 112 lsa cam. i sold fast bc of financial situation was in at time. i wanna make eight hundred or so wheel hp since i plan to keep this car for a long time. lq9 and forged rotating assembly should be fine there right.? and shouldnt have a problem doing so with that combo either... ??? all on pump gas...

Yes it should and to keep the car together for a long time you have to make sure to not cut corners and spend the money in the right place. You skimp and your motor will show it when you turn up the boost.

You can have a 1000rwhp car and drive it across the country. It just has to be built right. 15 grand is not going to do it. The motor will cost more than half that. Turbo, wastegate, blow off valve, and intercooler setup will eat the rest of it. The nick knacks will eat up more money then you can shake a stick at.

You guys are funny but i know what your saying. I was planning on going with a texas speed rotating assembly around 2300 dollars with dish piston option so on and so forth. 9.0 to 1 or little lower on compression so pump gas is ideal. We have 93 octane around here so hopefully can get quite a bit from that..... Arp everything and stud the heads.... the s400-91 turbo is what i plan to buy. Its 1699 from forced inductions. Its big enough i sould never outgrow it. Lonnies fuel system, the whole works i think its 1575...... like 96 pound injectors, think thier like 500... then you got wg and bov which theres another 800, doing manifolds and my own piping so theres 300 more, intercooler price ?????, clutch to hold the power another 700-800, it doesnt stop lol. Just gonna get a jy lq9 and put it on engine stand in next few weeks and start doing little by little..... May buy the turbo with my christmas bonus so im commited to the build lol.......
