Im with everyone else on the N/A numbers. Most LS1’s with your typical head/cam setups get around the 400-420 mark depending on how wild the setup is.

Im assuming you went to a twin STS kit? Maybe some more specs on the turbo setup, also where are you referencing the boost from? Expect a 2-3psi drop from the rear->intercooler->intake.

So assuming you are getting the boost # from the rear you may only be making 2-3psi up front.

If you are running an STS kit what are you running for pre turbo exhaust. If you have longtubes and a 3inch X or something on there then it would make sence to me. If so Swap back on the stock manifolds and H-pipe and delete the cats.

Maybe post up a graph or datalog. I wonder if you are floating valves or something also. But assuming it has head/cam work. It probably has some nice valve springs.

he did trap 100 in the 8th? so what maybe 126 or more in the 1/4? that sounds like in the high 400s to me..

To me it sounds like mid 400's dynojet, not mustang dyno. Also 500rwhp on a mustang dyno on 6psi sounds about right.

On 6lbs it should make more too I would think. I do know that if that is a sts kit and the dyno does not have proper ventialtion behind the turbos that they can be chocked off and not make good power. I have seen this happen in person. Everyone scratched there heads and they figured out that it was a ventilation issue. They fixed it and boom car ran like a top and made the power it should.

Yeah, I would say your first dyno numbers where off. The second seems about right with 6psi. I run 7 and am close to the same.

The car ran 124 mph in the quarter. Not an sts kit. Upp kit one turbo in each front fender. 80 lb injectors, 2nd fuel system and bbk shorties right to the up pipes. Should be a solid system I would think. Oh and down pipes into magnaflow bullets and dumped after that

oh damn a upp kit, well that throws my idea out the window. UPP's test car made 550+ i think on 8psi.

Using the standard turbos? Or did the finally upgrade to a different turbo/external gate?

The heads/cam dyno numbers are too high, especially on a mustang dyno, IMO.

Now it has a separate wastegate. Nice setup I think. And he said his numbers were in the 600 range on the ls6 w a cam and 6 psi

and on 6psi... would probably be close to 500.

Im not seeing the problem here. perhaps he has a cam that hates boost if it was a max n/a setup... we really dont have any details on his engine. 500 rwhp on 6psi is nothing abnormal.

What are the cam specs? That's the question. If he truly put down those numbers NA, then he's got a monster cam in there. If that's the case, then I wouldn't expect much more horsepower on 6 or so psi.

I just realized I repeated what you said, Got-a-ls1. Glad we have the same assumptions.

Agreed I could see 396 but 496 is an aweful lot.

Hate to tell you this guys but I have no idea whats in the engine. Bought it used from a dealer and thought it was stock until I got there. but it's a fairly rough idle and shake in the car.
