It has been awhile since I weighed it and can't remember exactly what it was. Dave@WS6store may remember, but I am thinking it was in the 3500 range with me in it so that would put it in the 3300 range or so. That was also with my torque thrusts on it and before I swapped out to a turbo k-member.

I have a 40mm JGS gate on it now. With my cutout closed it seems to be holding it right at spring pressure of 10-12 lbs.

What would that be, out of curiosity?

I was thinking maybe piston slap? I know that quiets down when warmed up. However, my motor makes the sound when warm. This thing is all sorts of noisy and keeps on taking a beating, ha.

Maybe Ryan will chime in with his thoughts though.

Hmm...I notice a little tick when I first start mine but it's been that way since it started running after the turbo build. I wasn't sure if it was a little exhaust leak or something. It's not noticeable when I'm out driving it but I thought maybe it's because there isn't as much for the sound to reverberate from on an open road vs. being in my garage/driveway.

Tick at start up after not running for a while to me seems to be the lifters. Slight knock can be piston slap/rattle until the piston warms up and fits the bore a bit tighter. Tick while warm may be a lifter noise a gain that was worse at start up. My fastest jy motors seem to have this tick after some beatings.

136-137mph is pretty good trap for such low boost! I may have to try out a TU1 or TU1.5 cam next time.

Mine seems to quiet down after a good beating, lol.

Thanks Ryan! I think it's all in the tune!

137mph is nice for such low boost and the auto. get some dyno numbers! im currently putting together a built 370 10:1 motor and will be using the 78/75 as well. shooting for 800whp and rocking a t56 for now.

What does your exhaust consist of? 3" downpipe to...I know you said the cutout was closed for that track run as well.

Just curious as I have a Hinson set-up going on my Vette with a T'netics 7875 and a 3" DP. 6liter also so our basic builds are similar.

3" downpipe to a 3" Magnaflow muffler in the stock location. None of it is mandrel bent after the cutout either. My cutout is 3.5" and placed under the passenger seat.

Ok got it, I don't have a cut-out on mine yet, it's a 3'' downpipe to my BB Bullet exhaust. Should flow decent enough.

Your setup kicks *** man.

Yeah it should be fine. I pick up around 3 lbs. of boost when I open the cutout on each setting.

Thanks for the kind words.

Car was 3440 with the TT2's and the stock K in the car with about 3/4 tank of gas. Really need to get it weighed again to see what it is actually at. Talking to the boss man and seeing if we can dyno it again this week

Drove the car to the local 1/8 mile track tonight to get a couple of passes. A couple of buddies helped me swap in a friends Moser 9 inch with 3.25 gears, so I had to see what she was capable of. I drove the car to the track on the Mickey's but had the torque thrusts up front. Only made two passes. First pass was through the exhaust and controller off which is the 10-11 lbs. I ran on in the 1/4. It ran a 7.0 @105 ish with a 1.8 60'. I decided to open the cutout for the next pass which put me around 14-15 lbs.

Here's the slip...

I will have it back at a 1/4 mile track on October 5th, can't wait.

Thank you, Sarg. Here's a video of the pass. I have a GoPro video I need to get edited and upload as well.

Nothing like trapping as fast as your 2000 SS did in the 1/4 in the 1/8th mile lol
