When it comes to going to a forced induction setup, the tune is the most critical part of the build, second only maybe to fuel supply.

It's not like na where you can toss in a slightly bigger cam and the pcm will compensate. From the factory, the pcm's in these cars don't know what to do with positive manifold pressure.

Just get a cheap wet nitrous kit, dont hook up the nitrous bottle, only the fuel side, jet it so it only sprays fuel and you can just hit the naws button(put on steering wheel) when it gets in boost and it'll add the fuel you need. No need for tune, pump gas is perfectly fine, for 5lbs you need a .32 fuel jet. Should gain around 175rwhp on this! Saves you from having to tune and since it has stock timing its faster than with a tune as the dumb tuners pull out timing!

god man. you need to read some more..sounds like you dont even know how a turbo works. For your safety and the engines safety i would just leave your cat back system on and dd the car.

if you are wanting something thats only there when you want it, throw a wet 100 shot on. pick up good power for the street and no tuning

Now that's pretty funny. I thought you were actually going to reccomend him getting a nitrous setup, I didn't expect you to go the route you did. I'm guessing you're joking.

But in all seriousness, a small shot of nitrous is what it sounds like he wants. Don't really need to tune for it if he does a small dry shot in front of the maf. AGAIN, a SMALL shot.

I don't know how I missed this one yesterday but WTF?! lol. If your even remotely serious, you need to spend a GOOD amount of time reading around in this section. FI builds don't just happen over night....they can deff end in a couple of seconds though! When you've gotten a much better grasp on the concepts, feel free to ask questions. Most guys here are willing to go out of their way to assist and help but you need to put forth some effort in learning first....

TRUTH!!!!!111!!!!!1!!!

We used to do this on hondas all the time making big power, like 160WHP on single cam D's. Check HondaTech's FAQ.

I'd run from this thread if I were you man your going to get torn to shreds!! A Turbo set up is not by any means a easy way to make hp it takes tons of research and a close eye on your tune at all times! Just as these guys are saying get a fun easy set up heads cam or some nitrous. Leave it at that

just buy a nitrous kit... if you are going to spend the coin on a turbo system what is a couple hundred extra for a tune? Its not like you will be in boost the entire time you are driving, just when you get on it. You have a LOT of reading ahead of you...

It's a safe bet on blowing up your motor.

that MAF will peg out at very low rpm with any decent amount of boost. making them work is not impossible, but apparently jesus christ himself tuning can make it happen, and the idea of adjusting to different altitudes etc...is appealing. most choose SD.

get the cam and drive it like that for a while. and check out some stickies. again noone is trying to say you shouldn't but you just need some time to really wrap your head around what FI really involves. most of us have been going at this for years to get this far. its not a jump in and go type of mod usually. often times it will result in carnage photos if you do it wrong. haha

I mean, you'll need a built trans, built rear end, built motor, pulleys, tunes, gauges, intercoolers, bov/bypass valves, and the list keeps on going on forever. fuel system, etc etc.....just about everything on the car is suddenly on borrowed time honestly.

I do have a d1sc for sale. new. about 20 miles on the head unit. pm me if your interested! haha
