Nope I was going to go with dse but their prices were just up there and after doing their mini tubs that were NOT designed for the 67 and had so many modifications I had to do I decieded to go with Heidts. I got so much more bang for my buck and quality is great.

So doing some test fitting of the engine on the new subframe while I wait for paint, check on oil pan clearance and ac fitment. Had to put on the manifolds just for fun!

Damn, no wonder everyone I talk to thinks a turbo system costs a fortune. Looks awesome but I sure would hope it runs fast! That has a lot of bling to be slow. I used the "shitty" looking truck manifolds as you called them. lol My down pipes took me about 4 hrs total to do and I had never welded before. No bling to my engine compartment though.
Can't wait to see how she runs...

So got some more parts in to keep working on the build, and FINALLY got the body back from paint!!! It only took 7 months! Thought I would update with some eye candy, trying to get the engine set where I want now so I can finish fabrication on the turbo plumbing so I can actually start assembly.

Its coming along, I really hope to make some major progress this week with fitting the engine in, building the mounts and getting started on fab of the intercooler piping and such. So I hope to have some great photos of that soon!

A few more quick updates, got all the parts painted. It only took the guy a year!!! UGGGHHH Now its time to pick out the wheels I think the hardest thing to do possible. Any suggestions are appreciated. It looks like the wheels are really going to be needed to make sure the engine and turbos are positioned correctly. Also got the 4 link installed and put in the 9 inch.
Test fitting some 325 drag radials we had around the shop to see how my tire clearance is.
Took the car down to the lone star round up hot rod show just for kicks and got a great response on it.

Just a few more eye candy updates.
Got my fesler billet tail light bezels in and digi tails leds
Along with my Dakota digital gauge cluster, a small step up from factory that has a speedo and fuel guage only haha.
A few more boxes of parts that I haven't opened yet. Including vintage air and full cts v accessories and brackets!!!
