Things going to be bad ***!!! 850 won't be problem with the 6 speed. I know it's a street car ,but if you run a lot on the highway I would consider an auto. A 700-750whp auto will make a 900whp stick car look real slow. Just something to think about.

In for the kickass idea of old school awesomeness. Big bore, short stroke, should rev to the freakin moon. If it's anything like a destroked 400SBC, it should rev to 10k easily.....maybe not with a turbo on it lol.

- Diamond 4.020", 1.304" CH, -4cc relief pistons, with steel top/napier second, .043/.043/3mm rings.

- Callies Compstar H beam 6.300" SBC rods.

Came right to 0 deck on one bank, and .0015 in the hole on the other bank, with my virgin 6.0 block. Going to lightly deck it to clean it up. The shortblock should be ready to go on Saturday. The pistons I have may need the valve reliefs cut larger for the LS3 valves, then I will be ceramic coating the pistons.

Jakson is building it. He works at TPIS.

Looking good Jakson and Nate. Hotpipes are looking pretty awesome! Should be a screamer when it's done!

Wow. I was thinking about a bored/destroked 6.0 a while back, searched, and found a thread with the same setup in mind. All I saw, though, was incessant flaming from other members about "neutering" that nice big-inch setup by destroking it. Sounded ignorant to me. To hell with 'em, I can't wait to see how this turns out!

Also, what's your plan with the valvetrain to sustain such high rpm?
