Default Just pulled the trigger on an F1A

Well guys just got tired of debating over my D-1 and twin intercoolers and decided to bite the bullet and buy myself an F1A and procharger intercooler. I got a 3.90 pulley with a race valve coming my way also. Does anyone know what kind of power I'll be pushing with this setup? I've got 80 pound injectors and Lonnies double pump system with -8 supply line and -6 return line. I also got an Alky control system with dual nozzles. I'm intrested in finding out what numbers people have been making with this setup?

I don't see why 700 or more wouldn't be possible depending on your other mods.

give me more details on the car, such as heads, compression ratio, fueling choice. gear ratio....front mount or a2w intercooler....things like that will def help my guess. also are you running the truck intake or a custom one.....or will you be dyno'ing it with it off.

You might as well buy a 3.70 pulley and max it out. sell the 3.9.

set your goals higher man! if blueozsleeper is making 830 rwhp with an f1 @ 15lbs imagine what you can do with the f1-a making a lit bit more with more cubes on top of that. those 80lb'ers dont sound like they are going to make it......another guy Stngtamr29 is making 900+ with his 3.7 pulley, but he is running like 11:1 compression I believe.

Realisticly, with the right parts behind it.....low 900's should be attainable. I am hoping, personally, with e85 and a custom intake, to break 1000 with it.

Ok, the block is a AES 390 (EPP cam) with 9:5:1 compression. The heads are 220 TFS as cast, Lonnies double pump -8 supply and -6 return, procharger front mount rated to 1300 rwhp and I got the truck intake. Hope that helps.. and I almost forgot Alky control with dual nozzles.

Assuming you use 93 octane and the methanol plus the smaller pulley.....

I am going to say, between 775-815rwhp. And thats a pure guess. Guess we will find out. Pop the smaller pulley on and then see.

You shouldn't have any problem with your goals, if anything their low as a lot of the others said. As I8UR4RD said, I put down into the 830rwhp so far but since it was the old style F1, I'm out of blower. I also had really bad exhaust back pressure issues. I think you should be into the 800's on 15-16psi...If you turn it all the way up you should see well into the 900's.

I'd like to thank Bob, from Brute Performance for giving me an awesome deal on the F1A and all the accessories. This is my second procharger I buy from him and customer service and prices have always been top notch!!

We are pretty close in build specs minus heads, but Lashway said mine should put down 800+ thru a 4l80e and S60 on 15lbs. With heads and a better intake i could hit 1000rwhp. here"s a few pics i have so far,

just to give and ideal hope it helps and congrats on the upgrade...

you would not happen to have a 3.4 pulley laying around your not using now would you? since your f1-a wont be needing it and all. I have been looking for one.

What do you mean old style F1 was the diffrence between the old and new head units.

This kinda makes me wonder what mine will make. I was thinking 775 to 800 rear wheel was possible. I am new to the forced induction stuff and have no idea though. I got A.I. 226cc 243's along with a truck hat, procharger front mount and lonnies duel pump setup.

The older head units are a 5.0:1 step up ratio vs. 5.40:1. They also "flow" a little less CFM. The F1A flows more and has the better step up ratio. I have my blower maxed out on impeller speed and won't see more then 18psi where as with the better step ratio, another guy with a similar combo saw 22psi.
