They can work well for drag racing as you have time to stage the car and build boost.

For the street, I've never driven a rear mount setup that I've liked. Just not responsive enough at tip-in and transients.

Is it complete? I like my rearmount but tomorow when I go to the track will be the real test, one thing I have to say tho is the car feels alot faster with the 2.73 vs the 3.42 I had before.this time I just gotta remember to not do no lift shifts

Honestly it just depends,im running a 6speed and the 2.73 gears are great. First pulls real hard now where it didnt before.I wish I would have made it to the track with the 3.42s. Out of boost the car is a little weak but it also builds boost so much faster now. In my fox im planning on using 3.08 gears with a glide.id think 2.73 gears in a a4 would be best of both sorlds

That's really not bad for the money, which turbo? Mine ran great at the track last night.i have not had any issues with my rear mount,im just braking stuff now.first my 10bolt now my lq4 as of last night, car trapped 123 leaving like I was leaving a stop light then I got froggy and turned the boost up 1psi with out adjusting my tune, needless to say the motor detonated and took out a piston

I just hate the ground clearance loss. I have to be SUPER CAREFUL.

no to on3 turbo. search online about issues.

also, with the silicone hoses, what ply (3 / 4 or other) are you purchasing and from what vendor?

Mine is perfect for the street, but it is an A4 with a mild stall so creates boost as soon as the converter bites. I wouldn't want it any quicker spooling or it'd blow the tires.

I imagine an M6 would have a little lag at low rpms though.

There are a ton of myths on here about what to do for rear mounts.
I have LTs dual 2.5" ex and twin pte billet 5858s and the responsivness is crazy. It makes power at any rpm and is almost instant.
The car made 876/860 on 18psi pump and meth with more to go. It should make 1k on good gas

One thing to think about is the 400 $ oil pump you dont need if you go oil less. So you can just put that 400 $ s into the oils turbo

As for ground clearance you should look up my alum 2x4 charge pipe I made for my car. It helped a lot

That would make a big difference as the standard ground clearance has always been a problem with these kits. Bob
