Default What turbo kit would suit me?

I'm looking for recommendations on a turbo kit.

Its still a pretty stock car for the most part - mainly just bolt ons.
Its an Automatic with 118k miles, I do want to keep my A/C.

A single turbo would be fine, my main goal for this car is roughly 400rwhp.

I don't know too much about turbos or forced induction so any helpful info would also be appreciated

I see that you want to keep your a/c, but if you are interested, i can offer you a price on a brand new COMPLETE turbo kit, for a price that will probably surprise you.

if you have a minute search huron speed turbo kit here in the forced induction section and see what we have to offer, you can also check out our website at http://www.huronspeed.com/

if a quality turbo kit at a very affordable price is something you are interested in, shoot me a pm!

+1 for Huron Speed. I just finished installing my Huron Speed kit and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I don't miss my A/C at all...

My Kentucky Turbo single kit is very well made. I would recommend Josh's products to anyone looking for a turbo setup.

If you want 400 wheel why not just put a cam in it

400rwhp is very low for a turbo setup .
You can made it with a cam swap like jt76 said.
So if want a turbo setup your hp goal must be @ least for a 500hp mark and that for sure is very easy for a turbo setup even with stock ls1.

Agreed why spend all that money for only 400 whp when it is easily achievable with other mods (much cheaper).

Sorry I meant 500. lol! Yeah my buddy has an 02 ws6 with just a cam, intake/exhaust and easily has 400 rwhp :p,

Nah. 500+ is my goal... So since we got that down, I've seen multiple turbo setups thrown around now.

Its been 100°+ for weeks. I wouldn't accept a turbo kit if it was free if meant removing my a/c.

Agreed. Taking the a/c off is the easy way out. I like my ac, thats why I designed my kit to keep it.

im in the same situation as you, ive wanted to turbocharge my bird for a long time. South Texas summers with no ac would be terrible. My brother has some stainless works headers that we are going to try on, but if we cant make them work i will be building a c6 manifold kit.

we need a simple option and priced the same way as the truck manifold setup. 2300 for a kit is reasonable on truck setup, but doubling or tripling to keep a/c doesn't work.

You get what you pay for here. And part of that is an incredible amount of time saved. I put the whole kit on in less than 4 easy days. Oh and if I would have had a running engine in the car they would have installed the kit for that price. That's a few extra days a guy could spend working overtime. Its worth every penny.

Never said it was not worth it, but for 95% of the people that are on this board its out of their league. I have about 10 hours of fabrication in my turbo kit that keeps the ac. I wish my 10 hours was worth $10,000. Maybe I will start fabbing up kits like mine and selling them for a third of the cost. It would be the only reasonable priced kit that keeps the ac. A few extra days of overtime is definately not 10 grand, lol. Its more like a couple grand depending on what you do. If anyone want to see how I build my setup look at my thread in my sig.

Its a shame guys like you miss the big picture on how complete a kit the CBR F2 is. I have followed your build and have enjoyed it. I have built enough rides to know what I want to compromise and what not. A stood up radiator is a deal breaker for me as well as no a/c. There are several threads about guys running on the ragged edge of overheating or are and alternators burning up from intense underhood heat. A problem my rockcrawler has as well. I read and read before I went into this.I didn't dismiss any of the problems people keep posting about.

I know its a complete kit, hence the price tag. Its a good kit and they definately did their homework. If I had to spend that kind of money it would be a deal breaker. I fab up my own stuff because I cannot afford to purchase a kit from someone else. If I had the money I would have it all done, but thats why we work on our own stuff. The stood up radiator doesnt both me because I went with a larger radiator than most so I increased the capacity. I am glad you like my build and hope that more people decide to keep the ac because honestly I think its ridiculous that so many people take the easy way out. Mighty mouses old car was awesome. A guy here in town bought it. That car has everything, 91mm turbo, 4l80e, runs in the 8's, but no ac. Ouch. Its freaking Texas, gotta have it.
