Default Aussie ls1 turbo build

Gday guys, this is my 88 holden, {gm}, vl commodore.
The running gear took me a bout 3 months to complete, and its my v8 turbo, and i love it.
Modifications are, ls1 engine 346 cube, all stock exept for 1000cc id injectors,fuel rails, 92 mm throttle body, commetic head gaskets, arp head studs, cleaned up bowls to drop comp , duel valve springs, comp cam, moroso oil pump,harmonic balancer, and rod bolts.
It has a precision pt 8847, precision 66mm gate, modified truck manifolds, through a 4 inch exhaust.
It runs a 2 speed b&m glide, 2500 converter, through a 9inch diff. Tyres are 275x60x15.

It makes 700hp on 14psi, using pump e85. And 750 hp atw on 17psi.
I drive it to the track, which is about 60 kms away, and its rub a n 8.97 @151.7mph on screwed radials, full exhaust, filter etc, just strap the chute on.
I drive it at least a couple hundred miles a week, the wife and kids love it.
I was going to take it out again, but i found out my turbo is stuffed.

Nice setup...would be a similar layout to mine if I ever went turbo ( although yours would be neater lol )

nice job,
Got any pic's of the turbo side manifold ?
did you have to cut the fire wall to get down pipe to clear ?
I'm building a VK LS turbo, motors in, gotta work on manifolds, haven't been able to find a forward facing factory manifold that will clear cassis rails yet..

Nice ride, good numbers, what's it weigh in at? What size and offset are your back rims?

I have more pics but it wont let me load enough of them. Yeah i had to scollop out a section of the fire wall.
Back rims are 3 1/12 inch backspace 15x9.
Im not exactly sure what it weighs, i rekon about 1300kgs

Would there be room for an up/over manifold on the left side, and then route the downpipe underneath and out ?

Not mine, but someone on LS1Tech did fab this. Obviously they cross over to the other side, but it could route downwards into the turbine and then the DP could pass underneath ?



I've saved loads of photos from turbo setups and various manifolds, i can email them

Now its a 6.0 alloy block. 406 cube built engine, so far the best time is an 8.85 @156 mph. Car weighs 3400 pounds with me. I drive to the track and race it exactly how i drive it on the street, et radials, pump e85, full exhust, air filter
