Default LQ9 Block Limit

I have a 1994 Trans Am with built LQ9, Eagle Crank, Scat H Beam Roads, Mahle Pistons, Dart LS1 Pro Heads, Mild Blower Cam, Fast LSX 102mm Intake, RMCR'S YSI Vortech Blower Cog Drive 16 PSI, Big Stuff 3, TH 400.

Motor has been in the car for 5 years, gone through hell and back first 3 years due to tuning issues system was set for 48 tooth reluctor, my crank is 24 tooth reluctor it lifted the heads but didn't blow up bottom end.

Now with all the headache gone i was running it at the track all year running 10.26@135 mph on 27'' MT foot braking it . Car weighs 3950lbs with me in it, 12 Deg. of timing at 16 psi, I had the timing up to 19 Deg. where makes more power but i cant get it to the ground.

This winter I'm cutting the back half, 4 link suspension, sheet metal chromoly rear end housing, 9'' rear, 40 spline axles,strange brakes, carbon fiber tubes, 15x14 weld magnum 2.0 with 30'' tire, rossler TH 210 with precision air shifter.

Car with out me in it is 3750 lbs I'm hoping to take out about 400 lbs.

I need some suggestions on what to do with my motor and what is the limit with this LQ9, should I just go over it since I'm not going to change my power level to much or build new RHS or LSX block witch I don't want to do this winter. This motor should get me in low 9's with 4 link and weight reduction, my biggest problem now is hooking the car up with current set up.

It has the MPH for high 9

keep the suspension, bolt in a 9" and learn how to dial in the suspension. theres no reason why u cant crack 8s with stock style suspension.

LQ block can handle well over 1000hp with some well thought out block modifications.

A little hard block, billet caps, main studs, o-ring the heads and you're good to well over 1200rwhp.

Stock suspension has gone 6's no need for a 4-link.

I think you need to do some reserach in the drag racing section, sounds like you have a stout setup.. But there's no reasons to back half the car..

Unless he wants a back halved car.

Having a car that looks like a steam roller from behind is pretty awesome.

That is what I'm going for less weight, easier on parts my car is 3750lbs now with 5 point cage and to go faster I have to put in 10 or 12 point.

The YSI is a great blower, but it wont trouble the block.

If you want to beef it up some and this is a car that will be 90% used at the track hard block that iron block to beef it up, billet main caps, arp main studs, forged crank and o-ring the block and receiver groove the heads and you'll be set for whatever that YSI will throw at it.

I have forged bottom end and I will groove my heads when they come off
