Question High Compression + Boost?

I've got the itch to go faster, and boost is looking mighty attractive.

My current setup is a 346ci LS6 with H/C/I, 11.0:1CR and puts down about 480rwhp.

I'm contemplating a running a supercharger on about 4-5psi and spraying (a lot of) meth. That should put in the 600rwhp ballpark.

The big question is, how safe is this? How many people have done similar setups successfully (and unsuccessfully)? Am I overlooking something big here?

Isnt that stock compression of an LS7? They safely run 7-8 PSI and meth would only help..

Search gives a lot of good info if you want to learn something. Plenty of examples on this board of people running more boost without the meth.

Yes it is, but cast pistons in the C6 Z06 along with that amount of boost and their thin cylinder liners just isn't really a great recipe for boost, people do it though of course.

It will work, just be very conservative with the timing advance in your tune along with fuel. If you ever want to run it hard, I'd honestly throw a gallon or two of 110 or AV gas to get the octane up. It will only help your cause and prevent a potential worst case scenario.

The camshaft you use or use now will also play a big factor in what your dynamic compression is. Your static compression really is nothing more than a figure for volume where as dynamic is real time what your motor is pumping while the engine is running.
