You forgot to include a rear end in your project. I've got about $3500 in a Midwest chassis and performance fab 9". Several hundred in wheels. Suspension upgrades, yadda yadda yadda. Its been such an expensive project....nitrous is so much cheaper. had I known how expensive my twin turbo build was going to be I would have never went this route....

Ok also, just read page 2 of your thread. your thinking about twins. Figure twice the cost. You are saying its a street car so I am assuming you want to keep your A/C. if you don't fab your own headers figure spending a $3000 chunk to have someone fab you a pair. Two wastegates, several hundred more. Tig welding, removing or relocating abs, relocating your fuse boxes under the dash, man the list goes on and on. If your not made of money like me either plan on being broke for several years or find a cheaper route. for a "cheap" *** turbo setup you can find a hotside turbo kit on ebay for about $500 but its for a single turbo and it won't get you into the horsepower range you want. Also keep in mind 800 horsepower isn't what I would call "streetable". Good luck with your build man. I hope you don't get into the same kind of pickle I put myself in. I really miss my car. Its been under the knife for 2 years now.

More info on the turbo setup?
Thanks! Haven't had this setup on the dyno but the truck went mid 10's and trapped 127mph with 800rwhp then spit the rods out of the early style lq4 after a few months. Current setup is a 05 lq4 with factory shortblock, hand ported 317's, studs, ls9 gaskets, JFR 212 cam, and KBRacing turbo kit with GT76/94 on 18~20 psi.

Close to 900-1000rwhp at that weight. Considering your at elevation as well, its surprising the speed your getting.

That was run at lower elv 1500da. It slows down almost half a sec, and 5mph in Colorado.

What does that weigh?

Any other shops?
You can build the hot side yourself for dirt cheap, Get on ebay get some 2.5 mandrels some truck manifolds and a t6 flange cut tack and install if you dont have a welder get a cheap one at harbor freight or craigslist, tack it all in place remove it and take it to your local muffler shop and have them finish the welds. The shop will probably charge like 50 to 100 dollars to finish the welds. All said and done you will have less than 500 dollars in it.

The hot side I am building now cost me about 200 in materials. Still deciding on what gate but I will be into it for about 700 by the time I build the 5" downpipe and buy a gate. Add in the s480 which cost just over 900 shipped, plan on about 500 for the cold side. So for about 2100 you can have the turbo part done.

What kills is the supporting mods fuel system cam/springs/studs/suspension standing up the radiator ect.
