The damage looks cosmetic but the frame needed a bunch of work, the headers got tweaked, and other stuff got destroyed.
Frankly couldn't get the car out without Eric @ Midwest and the Speed Inc. guys. Andy still has a shot with the points and except for the past electrical issue I think our team has a handle on what the car can do.
I think it was cool for Andy to have folks come up to him and talk about his car, usually we are at the track and he's on the laptop and we're messing with the car. It's very motivating to hear that folks have liked see the car make passes and that they want to see it out again.

are part of our team!!!
It took many dollars to get the car in the game, out of pocket!!! It's great that we now get the help that we do from our sponsors. Like I said it cost $$$$ to run a car like this around the country. I spent 140k just for a truck and trailer to get the car to and from the track this year. Stuff adds up quick! lol
I don't want to get into the level of help they give but I can tell you 100% for sure the car would not make Indy without their help!!

Jeff from Seick Autobody, a truly kickass buddy, thrashed to get the Murder Bird straightened out on the frame machine. Maybe we can get Jeff to post, because I can barely describe the work done. I know he used lasers, plum bobs and probably a case of Mountain Dew and a bunch of late nights to fix the car.
Let me get the pics going: (tons more here: http://s638.photobucket.com/albums/u...Murder%20Bird/)
Ugh, before:
Driver's side framerail, didn't realize it was that bad.
Passenger side framerail, bleh:
Now he's crackin' on the car, TON of work!!
Yeah baby!

Jeff is a real close friend of Andy's and he's done all the custom painting on the car so he's part of the team!
Frame was a lot rougher than I realized when the motor and turbo kit were still in the car.

WOW, I didn't think it was anywhere near that bad from the first pics. That looks a lot more like the damage you would expect from the hit it took! That guy did an amazing job straitening that all out, and Eric looks like he is kicking *** as well.
