LASTLS1 getting ready for Bradenton, Motor done, Dyno numbers
Alot of you guys know I crashed the car at Milan two weeks ago. Hit the wall just after the 1/8th around 155mph. Walked away from the crash but the car took some damage. With owning the car since new in 2002 8500 miles on the clock I wasn't ready to give up on the chassis!
We had a good day at Milan running a new best of 4.75 @ 160 mph
I was expecting to be done for the year with being second in the LSx series points, right behind Mark K of the Ohio Boys camp. After winning the season opener in Bradenton we had high hopes! PSJ told me to call Eric from Midwest Chassis and ask him what he thinks. Eric says right away if I can get the frame straight he can have his end done no problem!! "Lets do it"!!! So I call my friend Jeff and he says get the car here the frame will be perfect in 4 days!!! and he did!
My brand new stainless headers and all hot side was ruined. So I call Speed Inc and they say get the frame and chassis done and they will get the car done no matter what it takes!!
We are just about 30 days away from Indy and the car is at Erics shop. He is busting his butt on the car as we speak. One piece front end, new k memberl, a arms and spindals. I know he has some other tricks up his sleeve as well. He called the crash a forced update. lol What a great way to look at it. Then just seeing Brian Blacks car that he just finished and just won the Holley Fest the first race back no less,, I'm really looking forward to getting the car back. The sick feeling in my stomach is gone and I'm looking forward to Indy.
This is going to be a two part build. FIrst being getting the car done for Indy with the above updates-repairs. Then coming back apart to have the cage updated and a new Midwest Chassis rear end. Then back to my friend Jeff for a complete paint job.
While Eric and Jeff are doing there thing with the chassis and paint LME is going to do a motor freshen up and some "updates" I got to talk to them at the Holley Fest and came up with a plan.
[B]Lots of pics and updates to follow!!!!!![/B

RACE ONE, BRADENTON
Winning Bradenton this year was awesome, totally worth the 24 hour tow:

RACE TWO, ATLANTA
Next race was Atlanta, and Andy came in 3rd behind Mike Brown (W) and Mark Koehler (R/U). Electrical gremlins slowed the car down all weekend, the car wouldn't make full boost during a full pass. Frustrating. Kudos to Eric from Midwest Chassis he spent a ton of time trying to help figure out the issue.
Car had electrical issues at the next two races we went to, which was a local 315 1/8th mile race held by the MDRA. Andy finally bit the bullet and went out to Brian Black's shop out in bufu and they redid a significant amount of the wiring.

Around the time that Andy was invited to participate in the grudge race that was being held during the Pritchett Brothers Ultimate Outlaws race held at Milan Dragway in Michigan, Andy noticed that the upper panhard bar bracket was pulling out of the body, so he brought the car over to Eric at Midwest Chassis. Eric converted the car over to a wishbone setup, and also welded in his thicker beefier anti-roll bar. While it was cool having the car leave with the left front hanging for 300 feet, it was time to fix that.
We headed out to to Milan Dragway for a August 18th grudge class that was held as part of the the Pritchett Brothers Ultimate Outlaws event.

Initially we were having a good time, check out what Andy ran in the 1/8th (and for that matter what it ran coasting through the quarter!):
But....... As we all know, the car crashed at 3AM that Saturday night.

I'll have to find the link to the 3rd one which was taken at mid-track.

Lookin good guys! I like to see you taking some weight out too, I was surprised how much was still left when the first pictures were posted. Also, I like the proposed turbo placement. Good luck with everything
