So I've been meaning to update this thread I just haven't had a lot of time. The Stock SS drivetrain was pulled and sold locally and the car went off the body shop for some paint & Body work for the FMIC.

BEFORE:

Eric and his crew over at Steel Ridez did some amazing work getting the car painted and bay work completed even with all the extra's I added.

Decided to do the wire mod at the same time.

Front Grille w/ Emblem pro's SS Emblem.

Someone came up with the idea to polish the heater lines and it sparked a obsession with polishing and painting all the visible parts.

I turned to a friend Larry Hamilton of @AMS to build the fuel system, Intake piping from the FMIC to the TB and finish off the build for me due to time restrictions and personal issues. He and his crew have been great during the whole process.

Fresh motor back from the Machine shop. 9.97:1 Compression...

Motor, Trans and UMI K-member ready to go in

Engine in it's final home

It's now waiting for the intake piping to be fabricated and some small stuff then the moment of truth!

Unfortunately there is a leak at the Clutch Master cylinder line/Slave cylinder so it will now get a Tick ADJ Master and a new Slave but that just means it has to come apart again! There will be more to come!

wow! our builds are similar and your moving at an astonishing rate. I have been at this since November of 2011 with my D1-F1 build.

It will be interesting to see how our setups compare. Track times wont be fair because I have shed a good bit of weight.

It makes a world of difference when that bay is painted though, and kudos on all the polishing. I got my AFCO dual pass radiator about to go in with the fan shroud and Spal extreme and it freed up enough room that you can stare down at the blower from the top. Im glad i polished mine now. a little sanding and and some mothers polish really brings it to life.

My guess for my setup is 863rwhp through the filter with a stalled 80e @ around 17lbs.

I cant wait to see your car run.

Thanks! It's a KUP kit definitely worth it!

Thanks man, I've been following your build... it looks like you are going all out on your build we started off similar but you lost me with all the weight savings, I Just recently saw you tore out your dash and removed all that crap behind it.

Needless to say without some help I would still be at stage 2. When you finish yours it will be bad *** for sure and run some awesome times... Mine won't see the track at all this year just street time. 2014 I will take it to the track but the wallet needs to recover from all the madness and I'm just looking to enjoy the car before I start some 6k clutch dumps.

Love the build! Wait until you get this thing on the road you will be in heaven! I hope you have a good clutch for all this power.

Yeah work has been kicking my *** 12-16 hr days are normal just logged 74hrs this week. I got conformation that my tick master/bleeder should be here Monday so we can start that task.

Painting the reservoir was a good idea it will save you clean up and detail time later im sure. I also had some of the other plastics that usually turn dull after time painted too I think the only thing that wasn't painted under the hood is the battery and part of the ABS block / Module. All the heat shields were painted silver to match the color of the coils, valve covers & engine brackets.

I will be waiting for your results it seems we will be finishing up right about the same time.

Thanks man! It's been since September since I've drove this car so I can't wait and with this being my first ever FI setup it will be a whole new beast I'm sure.

As far as the clutch I am using the Mcleod Rxt.... It should be up for the task.

I'm curious to see how you connect from the outlet of the intercooler to the throttle body. Mine is cramped / tight and was wondering if there's a better way for me to route the plumbing.

Great build, good luck with it.

Thanks!

Right now were doing 4'' elbow out of the TB and 4'' up to the ABS block then It will need to downsize to fit inbetween the ABS block and radiator without cutting the hood, hopefully 3.5'' will fit but we will see... I don't want it to be too drastic.

Update:

Still had a leak at the slave after replacing the master so we went ahead and replaced all the hydraulics.

Got the intake piping done, exhuast welded up and FPR mounted and adjusted.

Good news is it runs! Bad news is I forgot to change the thermostat in the supplied waterpump so it has to come apart again so the 195 tstat can come out for a 160 the car never gets over 200 degrees in the Chicago heat but rather have piece of mind

Here is a breif idle video after first start up its a cell phone so im going to apologize ahead of time
