Default LS3/L92 Heads on a boosted application

Does anyone have experience with the LS3/L92 heads on a boosted application? How thick is the deck? Do you guys think they would be ok at 10psi through a procharger on an LS3 416 stroker?

I don't know from experience but I've heard a Blower Type cam + LS3 heads on an LS9 make 50-70 HP(per GMHTP).

Those heads would work fine for that. I think cj454 or something ran like 25lbs through the l92 style heads. I know it's a white SS but I can't remember his SN on here.

A buddy of mine has a 370 with l92's and a pat g custom cam. On 18lbs from an s480 it made 800+ whp and has had no issues what so ever in the 3000+ hard miles he's put on It

Go with an lsa head. Much better pieces. L92/ls3 heads are garbage. They will seal initially, but once they push water, they will never seal right again.

Not to take business away from those 2 good companies but aes would be a good choice with their 390 ci motor.

And I second LSA heads. They are cheaper and made of a stronger material than the ls3/l92 heads.

I don't like the idea of an iron block. Not sure how much a forged LS3 stroker would cost through them. Maybe i'll toss them a call.

I'm on an LS3 with LQ cast iron block and L92 heads. I'm running 226/232 115 LSA w/ .563/ .574 lift. Car runs great and spools damn quick.

I'm running a set of WCCH Stage 3 L92s. I made 803/825/818rwhp on three dyno runs yesterday on 16psi with an LS3 based 377 and a vortech Ysi. Worked fine for me.

I made 964rwhp through a stalled auto on a set of stock l92's and never pushed any water. 5 layer GM MLS gaskets and ARP bolts, not studs...

At 10 psi you shouldn't have any problems at all with the LS3/L92 heads. Bob

Cool! I think i'll stick with the LS3/L92 heads at 10psi and then buy an aftermarket casting if I ever wanted to turn it up.

Doesn't Trick Flow and Procomp make LS3 heads that are better than the GM originals?
