Default Truck manifold gaskets?

So what are the best gaskets to use from the manifolds to merge pipe?

Stock gaskets don't really work unless you use the stubs off the old Truck Y pipe. One side used a big dounut gasket and is press tight and the other side as a small groove cut in it and a small ring gasket sits in it

Everything else leaked for me including the expensive copper gaskets.

Is it the thickness that helps or material?

Ive used both the RTV and the Copper gaskets. Copper always worked great, no issues. tried the RTV and it was fine, but a few months later I could see a few small spots where soot was coming out. No big deal, but not perfect. Now I use the copper gasket, and cover both sides with RTV. Best of both worlds
