Thats Quite a bit Of boost but E85 Runs quite a bit cooler. Is this the first time this setup will run or did you have it running before the E85. If so what were the intake temps before?

The turbo used will make a big difference.

Brand new engine...going in next week. Getting tuned for N/A only until I figure out what turbo set-up to install. Soon as I do, I'll install it all.

It has 10.8:1 cr now. I'm gonna change the heads to thicker deck ones that will drop the cr to 10.3:1. Its fully forged and built for boost.

My goal is as fast a spool-up as possible and make 1,000 RWHP, or a tad more. If I make 1,000 I'm done.

So I haven't picked a turbo yet.

No meth. Better be an 88 or bigger turbo.

An 88mm won't make 1,000 RWHP on a 390 with 10.3 cr......?

Whats it gonna take, at minimum and spool fast as possible......?

I think a Garrett GT47-88 would be a good choice.

I would check to see where the IAT's are at with the E85 and FMIC. I don't think you'll need the meth either, but if you do, it shouldn't be at a dangerous level to look at the IAT's without the meth first. E85 does a lot on its own.

FWIW, I think if you want that power level, and a quick spool up time, you need to look at a twin turbo setup. The larger singles to get you to that larger power level will have a lot more lag than a set of twins.

I ordered my engine from AES on the phone (I think like 3 weeks ago) and it was out the door shipped to me in 8-9 days. BUT.....AES was out of the 3.825" forged cranks. So I would have had to wait in line behind a bunch of people who were waiting on cranks.

I called Callies myself the same day I called AES to order the engine and asked them if they had any in stock....they said yes. They promised it could be out the door in 6-7 days. I paid them in full, $660.00. Then called AES back and gave them a deposit for the engine. Sure enough, Callies drop shipped it directly to AES in 7 days.

So after AES got the crank I think 2-3 days later the engine was shipped to me. AES shipped it to my builder here in Lauderdale (Air Flo Technology). I ordered a cam and it was delivered this past Thursday. So my builder here in Lauderdale will finish assembly Monday and Tuesday. I plan to install it next weekend.

AES was a dream to deal with. Answered the phone pretty much every time I called and talked to me and answered all my questions and concerns.

Nice to pay for an engine and actually have it and install it within 3-4 weeks......

What kind of power will that make with my 390....and not be maxing the turbo out?

Will it have a lot of lag down low with 10.3 cr?

Is it gonna make 1,000 RWHP pretty easily with my 390ci?

dr turbo recommended me the gt50-88 and said it would go beyond 1000. pricey piece but nice. especially with a good tune, good fuel. im going to see how this f1-a does first. if i cant get where i wanna be its all coming off and being sold for a 88 or 91.

Whats the hold up? They have everything except the cranks. But you can buy one from Callies.

I just got my car going and doing some tuning. My meth turns on at 8psi and when it does the iat's drop about 50 degrees. E85 burns cooler than gas, but adding methanol makes a good thing even better.

Just curious...what happens if I'm doing a hardcore roll race from 50-180mph and the meth system stops spraying....?

Does that cause damage to anything or do you just lose power?

I'd like to just run without meth if possible and make my 1,000 RWHP goal.
