Looking good Ray! Let me know if you have any questions! Before you get any more parts in there, or if you have the crossover off again, slide the downpipe at least in the rough area it will be, much easier! Also for anyone else reading with the kit. I have installed the turbo on the crossover out of the car before and then with some extra muscle or a set of hands installed it in the car to the manifolds! Just a trick to make tightening some bolts in the car a bit easier!

Car and build is looking great Ray, I also dig the old S10 as well as new truck!

Jon

^So Jon for someone like me who is putting a whole motor in, would the easiest way be to attach the kit to the motor on the k member sitting outside of the car and then roll it all under at once...

Hopefully it will be done soon. It's going to be turned down for now as my fuel system is pretty weak.

I don't have to much of an update. Jon was right about the downpipe, I had to pull the intercooler and radiator back off to get it in. I was pretty sick for about a week and a half and I just didn't feel like doing anything. Then I had a hell of time figuring out the oil drain. I wanted to use the hole I already had in my pan so I enlarged it to 3/8" NPT but then the nut on the fitting hit the upper edge of the pan.

I ended up with this. -10AN to 3/8" NPT

I also had an O2 bung welded on the downpipe. Just waiting on pushrods which will be here Wednesday and hopefully I can start it up.

Pushrods came in.

I spent three hours trying to bend the factory dipstick and it ended up breaking. And as much as I hated to, I bought a Lokar flexiable piece.

IAT bung welded on.

Monster sent me the wrong clutch disc and I finally got the new one in. It's going to be installed next week.

Started it last night, first time since February.

Also went on the first drive today I've been tuning all morning and the car is running much better. I still think I have a lifter ticking. Once the car cools off I'm going to pull the valve cover and see whats wrong. I only took the car up to 3k at part throttle and the turbo whistle is nuts. I also tried out the Russ K RAF histogram and it works well. The car idles great, I just need to lean it out some. Hopefully I can get a driving video soon.

May have missed it but what exhaust are you using nd what's your cold and hit side size? I'm thinking about 2.5 cold side and running 4inch downpipe since I have some left overfrom aanother project. Muffler? This is my first turbo build and I'm really wanting the whistle to he heard but on the other hand I also want to be able to take a road trip and not kill my ears.

Out doing a little logging and tuning today! So far I've hit around 130 kpa and the car pulls great.

I scored these wheels off of craigslist last week. Boyd Coddington Smoothies for 200 bucks

Looks great Ray! Did you figure out your idle issue? If so, what was it?

Not yet. I installed the new clutch along with a new rear cover and the rear main seal leaked within a few miles. I pulled it all back apart, fixed the seal and I've just been driving the car everywhere. Just hit the break mark for the clutch yesterday.

Few pictures of the clutch with about 50 miles on it.

God Speed cutout. I really like this setup, press the open button and the flap opens by itself. Super fast and it looks well built.

Quick driving video from yesterday, a slow roll from 3rd gear.
