All the projects in my sig I have built with the help from friends, I do all the fabbing, welding and build my own engines. Im just now starting to build my own trans with some decent outcome so far
A very good friend and I actually want to start a shop, been talking to a couple dyno company's so we can build the cars and show the customer what there $$$$$ just put to the ground.
I love building my own cars as I can take all the pride of saying I built this from scratch and so far almost everything has been flawless.
Yes I have popped a couple of my own personal engines just to see how far they can be pushed, (better to learn on my coin then a customers coin)

Like atomic stated, you don't need one if the turbine housimg is sized accordingly. That is how it was done back in the day. Its no where near ideal since you are basically choking the engine and creating massive back pressure. That's a pretty trick idea putting the gate in the housing
