GT45 on an LQ4?

Alright guys, I know this turbo is technically too small for a 6.0. So who has put one of these on a 6.0? You'd think it would run out at 5k. I bet it would spool fast though.

It works great. I had the Master Power version (same specs) on my 6.0. Spooled great, made 600rwhp on 14psi and ran easy 10's on street tires.

Had the master power one on a 6.0 also... Spooled instantly, 15psi never ran out of steam at a little over 7k. Worked great.

This is good to hear. I've got an LQ4 long block laying around and I've been wondering how well a gt45 would work on it.

This is crazy. You would think that turbo would be useless on a 6.0. In the upper rpm's anyway.

They have a decent sized turbine and that's the biggest issue concerning motor size.

Useless, hardly. The turbine is a pretty good match for a street 6.0. I wouldnt try running two unless you have 450+ cubes and looking for over 1000rw.

i am doing this on my malibu, using a 4l80e and a stock tq converter also to see how she does

good info was looking for the same answers, as far as turbos go im new someone told me that the ebay gt45 had a big enough turbine but not a big enough compressor? whats your thoughts i also have an lq4 looing to put an ls6 cam and intake and a gt45 ebay turbo on it

that be her, dont forget to get the right downpipe starter flange with it, its like some strange (close to 3.5 inch) size

i know if you get it from VSracing he can get you the turbo, and the flanges vband etc all together
