Default Master power gt45?

I've got a 355 built lt1 and I've got this g45 front mount gen1 Ptk kit going in. Its .68 and 1.05....anyone have any experience with this turbo? Just wanting to see what this turbo will behave like on a v8..think its good for 15 psi? Will I make power past 5k?

I had mine on a 8.6:1 compression 5.3L 15psi made 640whp on gasoline and a 50 shot of spray through a shitty converter. It was a bit laggy, thats why I threw the 50 shot on it.

I now have it on a stock compression LQ4 6.0L I think its 9.5:1 and on E85 at 15psi.
It spools instantly and definitely makes power past 6k. I never ran it because a noise the engine is making but compared to how it ran on the 5.3 it makes quite a bit of a difference. It was comparable to throwing another 150hp shot at it.
My car went low 10s w/ the 5.3 and didnt spin the slicks after 2nd gear. Now I can blow them off in 3rd gear. I think its sized perfect for a 6.0 or around there and I think its limit is around 800-900whp. MP actually advertises they are good for 1100, but likely fwhp.

huh? The .68 is the compressor housing A/R, that is a mute point

the MP 45 uses a fairly large turbine, it will be fine

Yea I'm normally a blower guy..I thought a .68 compressor housing was considered pretty small.

The compressor inducer is 68.9mm, thats about the only place it is on the small side.

I use it on a 9.5 370 at 14psi on E85, it made 603/573 to the wheels through a 4L80E and 12 bolt. Went 10.70 at 131 in a 3400lb car with crappy launch. It spools instantly on the street with no traction up to 60 with 315 Nitto DR's.

Next year I plan on switching to a 3 bar tune to really see what the max is. I used a 2 bar thinking that it would be maxed out anyway at 600rwhp. Guess I was wrong. It made max torque at 5200rpm and max hp at 6000 and we shut it off at 6200.

I think its limits are around 700rwhp. We'll see.

I think you will be very happy with it.
