Patiently awaiting their turbos. I have quite a few tracking numbers from Turbonetics I need to get into contact with them on so I can disperse them. With that said, many turbos have already shipped out last week, and more are continuing to ship each day. As soon as I have confirmation on which tracking number is who's when I can contact them after the holiday, I will certainly give everyone their tracking information as soon as I possibly can! Thanks for being patient everyone, you should all have your turbos in hand very shortly!

Just curious. What is that hole next to the turbonetics t used for? Ive been around big rig turbo diesels since I was sixteen and a majority of our turbos do not have that. Those that do is used to a solenoid to close the exhaust so the turbo will not over boost. Man the more I keep reading about turbo gasoline its incredible. Similar set ups but used for completely different reasons.

Its used for boost control. Many detriot and cummins have it too.

Those .96 ex housings are getting a little tight.. Wouldnt be much material left?
Be interesting to see when these start to choke.

Pic with the covers off?

Where are these made?

The comp cover bolts and backing plate tabs stick out a long way whys that?

Sorry for all the questions, just genuine interest.

Boost reference for the wastegate. It's the quickest and most accurate spot for that purpose.

Unsure what you mean n the .96 a/r. zero issues there and don't know what you mean by material. .96 is not a thickness. A/R is a ratio of area and radius. It determines how much area is the housing for exhaust to get to the wheel.

These are made by Turbonetics in California.

Unsure what you mean by the backing tabs. If you are looking at the comparison picture and looking at the Hurricane turbo, that would be because they are loose as I was using that turbo for mock up (one of the twins on our car)

are these physically the same size as a TC- I thought they were going to be but just a bigger turbine wheel- the comp cover looks bigger in one of the pics.

I know .96 is an A/R ratio not a thickness. Im talking about the amount of metal thats been machined from the housing to fit the 75mm wheel. Ive done a lot of turbcharger machining in my time and sometimes some wheel/housing combos come mighty close to paper thin.

In regards to the T series comp cover bolts and the tabs the hold the comp cover onto the backing plate, your saying they are just loose? And thats why they apear to stick out a long way? Ok.

By choke l mean run out of flow.
By material thickness l mean the housing metal its self. You can machine them too far.

Think ill wait for results on this one.

Pretty sure they're t-series compressor housings, not TC.

Ah, I got ya. I was assuming these are all new turbine housings made specifically for the 75mm wheel, no?

I am sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about in regards to the compressor bolts. Nothing is long or sticking out. Also, no worries on the thickness around the 3" v-band, there is plenty of material there. Also, PTE has been doing the same thing for many years, and comp does it with a 79mm wheel... no issues
