i would say 23-24 is stock limit, i think over that is where i butt ringlands

im not sure on the whole meth mix debacle, seems like that prestone **** yellow stuff strait from autozone works great, im running 100% meth right now but in every other car ive used blue or that yellow, picked up some power with the yellow mix i believe.

That was about the psi I was expecting. So for dd duty I'll probably push 12-15 and have my serious business psi at 20-22. As far as meth is concerned I will be running true Sunoco methanol/alcohol fuel in my meth kit. My friends dad has a pulling tractor that runs on methanol/alcohol and he said he'll sell it to me for $5 a gallon whenever I need a refill.(I will probably get a 2-3 gallon can and buy that much at a time.)

That's the problem, closet race fuel joint is 2.5 hours from here. Only thing we have close is an airport with aviation fuel. Aviation fuel runs like a mother ****** in a atv until it starts putting holes in pistons and eating valves lol.

ah, well then that option isnt that bad hahaha.

i honestly want to make harnesses for this setup and sell them

it might be a terrible decision but i think enough people want them and would use them

looks like a plug and play harness is going to cost at least 258 in new materials without shipping. but thats everything, factory coil pack plugs, IAT, CLT, 3bar map, all 8 EV6 connectors already in it. if im going to build them its not going to be cheap but it will be plug and play...

thats with the pigtails sourced from an ebay store for fairly cheap like 10-15 a connector with the pigtails and the 8ft microsquirt harness.

think ill build one and make sure it works. i can also do the wiring mods for the Microsquirt i showed inside the harness as atomic 6 explained, so someone can get a box stock micro2v3 and plug it in and fire the car with a base tune.

something i am considering.

So if your a cheap **** like me who likes to do it yourself can I just mod the microsquirt harness sourcing connectors from the original harness from my motor? Then I just have to add the 3 resistors to the unit and get a base tune from you!? Or am I missing anything?

You can get the base tune from here.

Denmah, did you ever mark your balancer, and see if the factory trigger wheel is exactly where it is suppose to be?

That is what the "Trigger angle offset" is there for, and sometimes the factory wheels are a little off.

Probably would be good to know before a big dyno run.

And, soon you may want to try to use the boost control I wired into that harness, It works really well on mine. Open loop, Closed loop, or Closed loop with target boost numbers for different gears, and even when on the T-brake.(I just count it as another gear)

That last part requires another Microsquirt to run the 4L80e, but hooked to the Main CANbus of the engine Microsquirt, and another really simple harness.

That setup works really slick on my car.

A piston stop would make it easy, and you could make your own by hollowing out an old sparkplug.

I was writing out how to do it,and then I thought about youtube, and everything was there in one video. You can skip to 2 minutes in to get to the start of the part you want.

Man that saved me some time!!!

haha i made another complete harness and it works great, i have to say at this point im past the 50/50 mark

i think with this proving reliable and running good, this is the way to go from now on.

i dont have the time into it to say its run for x amount of time or survived trips to OCMD like the other setup, but ive driven it hours without issue. many times for a strait hour long trip and its been great.

i have yet to mark the balancer and check the timing wich i believe is a little advanced on this 5.3 since john(atomic) has seen +4 on stock cars like a GTO i definately believe that could have been one of my issues with breaking the 5.3 so many times haha.

just wanted to update you guys and say its really been working great and i think we have ironed out all the running bugs and say its safe to do this, another guy i know of on MSextra forums has already wired a 2000 mustang GT with the same setup and his is running off my base tune

Denmah, have you seen this? Yet another MS option (though an expensive one). Figures I already bought the "old" MS3x...

yep i heard about that early from atomic6
you see their display at the auto show of that running in a fish tank haha

im curious to see how it does, also if it can do transmissions and things out of the box, what the full feature list is....

i knew it would be expensive.
im sure you can have your car running on a micro two full featured for less than just the ECU is going to cost if you go MS3pro

but i like seein that they are doing well and making awesome products.

1000-1200 isnt so bad with a harness, i wonder if they will ever make one with LSX plugs already pinned out for that price haha

isnt plug and play holley EFI around 1600+

people pay tons of money for fast systems and the injector drives burn up all the time with those things.

i would love to see more serious racers using ms3pro

From my understanding, this unit doesn't have the MegaShift built into it.

I really like the AMPSEAL connectors (like the MegaShift also has) since I deal with them a lot at work.

My old skool MS3x will have them as well, at the bulkhead connectors i'm putting at the firewall. Pricey, but mil-spec and bulletproof.
