Default LSx 6.0 stroker 408 pro charged

I have a 1970 cutlass 442. Me an my father had started on this project back in 2005' it was a graduation gift. Unfortunately the car took in some water and all from hurricane Katrina. So now me an him are about to start building the car again. I made some changes an plans along the way an got a rendering done on the car how I want to build it. The plan is to build a Lsx gm 6.0 lq9 iron block 408 stroker motor. I'm getting the bare block from Texas speed as well as the rotating assembly, stall,cam.....ect.... I want to pro charge it as we'll with either a f1-f2. I want it to be a daily to weekend warrior on 93octane pump gas. ID APPRECIATE ANY FEED BACK AN KNOWLEDGE FROM ANYONE WITH EXPERIENCE. I don't know what heads would be best with the boost I do have a set of 317 I was thinking of using (ported polished - titanium valve train).

Transmission: 4l80e mad dog trans rated 1200hp
Rims: billets 20x9 up front 22x15 in rear
Suspension: custom air struts with 4 link an watts link... Beefed up frame...upgraded disc brakes all around as we'll.

People on here have made great power with the 317s im sure they will chime in.... one thing though unless you have that mad dog tranny and have already pushed it to a proven point I would look elsewhere for a transmission just my .02 cents

Glad to see your starting back up on the project. I lived in New Orleans also during Katrina. Right on Peniston Street.
Looking at your setup, I think a f1x Pro charger would be good. I would get at least a 8 rib belt to turn it (cog drive if you can)

I live in Destrehan now. I'm working on a few projects myself. Text me if you need an advice.
Also, the guys at DV8 do some good work. It's right on the corner of airline and Earhart. Ask for Stephen. Tell him Devon sent you.

A few years back Mad Dog had a bad reputation on these forums. Haven't heard much from them on here lately thou. Maybe they cleaned their act up.

317's are fine for heads (unless your pushing 20lbs of boost, then you will need thinker decks) and I would plan on using some meth if you're going to use 93 octane. I would also plan on putting in a good front mounted intercooler. my .02

You seem to be on the right track.

Since you asked for opinions, I will give you mine (for what it's worth).

Your suspension sounds good. Bonus points for the watts link. And your approach to rework the 317's with a good valvetrain should do you fine.

I definitely get a good intercooler. It's performance and safety that you don't have to refill. Don't get me wrong, I would still add a meth kit, too. But I wouldn't ever run boost with just meth and no intercooler... People have, and do, but I, personally, wouldn't.

Get big boy injectors and supporting fuel system so you can run E85 during your weekend hooning, if it's available near you.

And last but not least, you should post more pictures.

^^ Fuel system is a big thing I forgot, if you're going to push more than 700hp you will need to replace rails, line and such. Also Get a Aster bracket (bob from Brute Speed sales them on here) you will have an issue with belt slip if you go w/ another pulley system with big power. (I also bought a laser aliment tool bc I had an issue with alignment of the pulleys... made life so much easier). These are the thing I'm finding out that I don't have and will need for more power or have found that I need for safe power
