they are going 5.3 because alot of them are iron 5.3 and have some thick cylinder walls which is good insurance, and you can find them anywhere anytime if one pops. also some of the rotating assembly can really take the abuse we all dish on these motors.

I was wondering if there was a thread floating around of anyone running this kit yet with a PT-88. I know it can be done, I just have not seen anyone go for the 1000rwhp mark yet. I am sure someone will before I get the chance too though.

This is why I'm starting to get a little scared lol. I've already added up what the kit should cost me by the time I'm done buying parts (around $3600), but then the tranny is going to **** and you never know about the motor. I mean I have 52k and I'm goin to run low boost, safe tune, and meth. So hopefully I can get by cheap and keep the motor alive for a long time. What you guys think?

Hey guys I have decided to go another way... I have talked to Jon and if anyone wants my kit you can take my spot. So basically there is still one spot left to get in. I believe you will just give me the $500 down payment and you automatically take my spot and the rest of the payment will be due just like the original post's states. This is a great deal for soneone because you will get in the top 10 so you get a free BOV with the kit. And also I will throw in my truck manifolds that I picked up ($85) to whoever takes my spot FOR FREE!

looks like me and you will be the first to get this kid well into the 9s (even tho the kit has nothing to do with ET)

3400 race weight camaro
TH350 W/Yank 3600
2-walbro's and FIC 130lb
CXracing T-4 GT45r 80mm (identical to the Magnum 80mm)
stock 5.3
20+ psi

undecided on 5.3 heads or 317's

Sounds like a stout combo!

well first off ill have to say as a first time turbo build with Huron Speed has been awesome, much help was needed almost any time customer service was just amazing jon!!. Marten at tick performance clearing some engine planing up and turbine answers, nice guy to work with has well! of course my planes has changed like most first timers. Comp spec me a t4 turbo for my 408 it was a c43 78/79 1.32ar 4in outlet my goals was 850rwhp and 17psi, almost shore now that turbo is to small to hit the goal. I think it would be great 347 or 325 so ill be calling comp to see how they can help with the exchange first! so far they are nice guys to deal with.
Now am looking at the ct5 84/88 t4 1.20ar or a pt88 i think that will be much closer to my goals. Jon has been real patient with me with the change of planes so far and down to do what ever!

this is whats on the check list

408,worked 243 heads,custom grind cam by marten@tick,studs,fast92/92
nasty st3 fuel system 120lb
ct5 84/88 t4
pa racing tube k relocate radiator, battery and ditch abs
have jon@huron speed do some custom fab work
stock ecu with hp tuner

that should cover it
