Do those have a liner? Or does the inside look like the outside?

Engine came in today from AES. I was a little disspointed. Spend $6,500 on a short block,
did not come painted, no covers..not even cam covers, no paper work...nothing. They got it to me within a month as promised though. I guess i have been spoiled though, last built motor i got from Schwanke came looking like a million bucks and was half the price of this short block and came with all the covers. Hell my stock rebuild I got here local looked better than this motor

How my last shortblock from Schwanke engine came minus the studs

Wow. I guess the time frame meant cutting corners. Damn. Mine came like this.

Took me 3 months to pay for it/get it. It was 9k for the longblock, but no covers. I had to request for the valley cover. I said I wanted 9:7 compression, I got 9:3 (no biggie but cmon for 9G's). I can only hope my ls1 covers will work. They are already painted so lets hope so.

Its really not a big deal for me to throw a coat of paint on it. They got it done on time and if it holds up to the power I will be a happy camper.

I second that. The half inch head studs alone are like 400-500 dollars more.

The upgrades are what get ya.

By the way Justin, you have yet to mention what cylinder heads your going to run. I figured you'd probably sell them with the ls3 to keep it a "complete package" kind of sell. Unless I missed it somewhere.
