heres a shot of the slip from the vid. I was wrong about the 1/8th time earlier, the actual time was worse.

^^^ how can they put a win arrow towards the other guy when I gave him a 5.5 sec head start and had him buy almost 70mph. I remember flying past him so fast at the end.

Would you happen to know how much dish (cc) your pistons have? I have a 5.3 with flat tops and I am trying to determine the difference.

Because of that "he was closer to the dial in" bullshit.

BTW, nice run.

Yeah I know. Its the idea behind brackets never made any sense to me.

The local bracket scene is straight up embarrassing, bunch of greasy guys rockin their loud *** open header, big tire, wheelie bar equipped, tin can H-BILLY DELUXE. They are true multi-taskers though as they manage to oil down the lane on the way to a blistering 12 sec pass.

hey silver 82 your truck rocks, I hope I can make mine run like that. Are you a weekend warrior or do you run a point series at your local track?

Very sick build man. I hope to just break the 6 second barrier this year. I weigh just a little more and also run E85 straight from the pump. Why guys won't run race fuel for less than $3 a gallon is beyond me. Great stuff on these forced induction engines.

Still running strong, still rockin the same 5.3 as last year. I havent been able to make it to the track yet. Seems the weather turns to **** on the weekends or if there is a nice weekend I already have plans.

I have been working on the tune alot, and have the bosch 160's idling great, the afrs @ idle are 13.5-14, light cruise is still a bit rich 12-12.5, it just rides the minimum pulse width until about 35mph

I put a DBW 90mm ls2 throttle body on it and love it, I can "tune" the tps rate of change vs pedal change, its not so snappy anymore, nice and linear feeling. I didnt have room for an IAC before so the new TB takes care of all that. Its probably the best thing ive done to make it feel more like a regular vehicle. Should have done it long ago

If you have flat tops more than likely you have a 4.8

The L33 alum 5.3 has flat top pistons.

Silver, nice S10. My son and I built one, just a simple SB 350, but it's all of 3000 with him in it. Fun little truck. I guess it needs an L33 and some boost!
