Aftermarket gear set, for starters.

Did you know the second gear was gone before you made the run?

It is also much easier going for a record in a feather weight car, get some real tires on that LTD, and drop all those useless mufflers, to post up some good times with a car that will scale the same as the rest of us.

it was a 3800. i had my converter guy tighten it up some. he said it should be around 3500 now. i use the aem tru boost. its cheap and it works for what i have now.

i started pricing out part for the glide. looks like i will stick with a th400 for now.

i wasnt sure it was gone. after the 9.2 pass i checked linkage and it seemed fine. so i made another pass. ran the 8.81 and that was when i knew for sure i had no second. i didnt try to make any more runs after that.

If you shift to 2nd and it does nothing(but maybe hit the rev limiter), then shifting to third gets third, it is the sprag.

Another thing you need to watch is the convertor charge pressure in a T400, too high and you will take out the thrust bearing in the engine.

This is what I am talking about, and the problem we saw when we put t400 behind the Turbo buick engines, and now the Turbo LS engines

If your not breaking the stock 1.76 gearset your not making enough power yet. turn it up.

I'm not recommending that anyone do it, but I did unknowingly go pretty fast for quite a few passes with a stock 1.82 (6 cyl) gearset..

I agree that i dont see the point of going to a glide when a 400 is already in there and he has had it tame yet still mid 1.2s out of it with the 400

He wouldnt have a problem making the glide work though as far as power though that i know

i agree with This. youve already run 1.25 with the th400, and it would cost $300 to fix, vs 2000+ for a well built glide..

The one in Mike's mustang was $4500, and another $1100 for the convertor, behind an $800 engine.

Awesome!
did you merge your 2.5" hot side pies together before the t-6 flange, or keep each bank feeding the divided turbo separately?
what fuel are you using?

i merged the 2.5" pipes to a 3" pipe that goes to the t6 flange. if the turbo had a divided exhaust housing i would have ran the two pipes to the flange instead.

it is on e85

i use FIC2000 injectors and a magnafuel 4303 fuel pump with magnafuel regulator. -10 to a Y block and -8s to each rail.

How loud is that Magnafuel 4303 pump? Is it as bad as an A1000 buzz bomb?
