68 camaro 5.3 single turbo swap, what manifolds?
First off let me say I'm new to the sight, and new to Ls motors. I recently pulled the 454 out of my 68 camaro and picked up a 5.3. I'm trying to put a single turbo set up on but don't know what stock manifolds will work. I know theirs a lot of info on it but it seems most of them are twin turbos. I'm not using a/c or power steering. I'm using hooker swap plates and stock clamshells for stock engine placement. Also I'm going to use the dirty dingo alt bracket. Any help is appreciated!

Yeah I'm trying to stay on budget. I came across a guy who has a homemade hot side kit that was for a truck. It has one ls4 manifold on the passenger and a truck manifold on the driver side. He also has a spare fbody manifold I could get. I know I would have to cut and re-weld a couple spots but for $300 is it worth grabbing?

Dont waste your money on a kit made for a truck, its not going to fit. An LS4 is pretty tight on the frame on the right unless you space up the engine higher or mod the frame. Id recommend a cut down truck manifold so the outlet comes straight forward between the frame and water pump. On the left, a Trailbalzer right manifold flipped forward and down works best because its a little thinner through the middle and offers a little more room around the steering box than a regular truck manifold. My left manifold has had the flange angle milled. PM me your email and Ill send you a picture of a set I just did for a guy.

Thanks for the pics. I dropped the motor in today and tomorrow I'm going to start routing and fitting some pieces together. I should be able to figure it out by what you have told me thank you I appreciate it.

Single turbo
Looks awesome. Do you have any pictures of how the passenger side manifold connected to the turbo? Or pictures of the merge you did. Thanks in advance.
