Yeah, did a heap of research. Not worried at all. Just a few uneducated people have been telling me it's crap. They're just used to their 150k standard ls1 oil pressure. Lol.
Yeh, pulling everything back apart. Powdercoating it all a flat black.

Sub'd!
Sick build man! Im surprised you didnt at least minitub it to fit a wider tire though. It'll be hard to get 1200whp to the ground with those little guys in the back. What are your plans?

Well, i was thinking of a minitub but i don't want to cut it up too much. Might just attack it with the hammer even more and clearance a few things, maybe squeeze in a 295. I know the 275's won't hold much. I should be able to get a decent drag radial though.
Plans? Overall, drive it like i stole it. I'm not worrying about body work at this point. Will be entered in every event i can get to. Obviously not with all 1200hp.

That's one of the back wheels on the front. 275 on a 9.5". Touches the guard. Dunno the backspace but at full lock i only have around 1cm between tyre and swaybar. So iunno.

205 on an 7" vs 275 on a 9.5" lol.

Cut out some more tunnel so it's neater. Will start on this tomorrow.

Rough seat position. Far enough back for dad, can go far enough forward for the missus too.

Yeah, for when i want it to hook i'm going to look at wheels like that. Only problem is the 12.19" wilwoods & calipers on the back. They will have to clear them. The 16" wheels usually on the front only just clear them.

Started on the transmission tunnel today. Good mate of mine done most of the work to be honest. Now it's ready to wrap in sheet, tack on the inside and weld into the floor.

I have the Wilwood 12.19" rear disc/drum brake combo on my '69 Chevelle project and 15x10's on 325/50/15's fit easily.
You simply won't hook up on that tire combo.... but it'll be fun trying to![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
That Holley intake setup looks killer. Love the motor being all black. Mean as hell.

Don't worry too much about hooking. I am getting 60ft times in the 1.3s with an 18" wheel. It's more about taking time to do a proper setup. Torque arm suspensions work very well anyway. If you end up making 1000rwhp I would be a little nervous with that torque arm back there.
Great looking build! Can't wait to see your progress.

Saving grace will probably be not getting traction.
