Got a question for anyone that knows..... Can I use a LS2 oil pan on a gen 3 block? Doesn't appear to have any place for a oil dipstick in the block, and no provisions on the pan
Maybe I can't run the pan I got after all?
Edit: Gotta drill the block for it. The trailblazer 5.3's have the dipstick hole in the pan
Either way I have what I need to button up the motor now and the parts to install, so I will update soon

Mine is different Sunday driver . But I found Sanderson shorties work well for me for front mount . But I have ac delete and am using two driver side headers the driver side in regular position clears steering shaft and brake booster . Then another driver header on passenger side upside down and backward lol front mount for me but with ac and all I haven't seen any front mount in s10 how are you going to do it ?

I got as far as collecting parts in my Summit cart and tearing the front end of the truck down. The 4.3 is ready to come out, but my motivation has been less than great. Don't worry, I will update when I finally get tired of being a slacker!

Well I finally started on this project have made a little progress in a few hours of work. Got the 4.3 and trans pulled. Notched the cross member to fit the Ls2 pan and dropped the 5.3 in. For now I have the stock rubber mounts but will be replacing them with poly mounts soon. It looks like I will have to fab up a new trans mount and delete the stock crossmember since it appears to be 3" front too far.
Anyway, I've started and have some motivation to work on it....
on a side note I may be selling the 8.5" rear out of it in favor of a 9". Can't make up my mind on this but it's been a thought.
Some pics of progress.

Freed up a ton of room with the ac delete heater box....

I think a log manifold will work, but not how I planned it to. So far I had a 3.5" pipe in where I think the downpipe will be and it appears that feeding the back of that mani won't happen. It will need a merge somewhere else. I have my work cut out for me for sure.
Kris, is your trans crossmember stock or modified for the 4l60?
