Your right it will run faster with nothing on it, their is nothing restricting the air flow. Add a filter and it will likely slow down some. Add mesh, it'll slow down more.

Look at the amount of area the air has to travel through right now with the mesh on their. Then, cut open a larger air filter and spread it out and tell me the air doesnt have more room to come through. (surface area)

Yes, mesh "looks" like it would be better if you arent thinking about surface area.

At the track, dont run anything. Mesh like you have it is not helping.

well the filter off didn't do too much, but i did run two 5.68's (a 5.683 and a 5.684) and the mph was up to 122.5. i think my slicks are starting to fade or the track was just terrible, car was doing worse 60's but running the same times so hopefully it'll pick up with a better track or new slicks.

Dear God... Just keeps getting better and better! 122.5 MPH at the half is hauling *** bro! Keep it up man! You're definitely motivating me to get my rig going!

closest 1/4 is like 60 miles each way and i have to drive (no truck, no trailer), so who knows. i need to swap the gears out (got a 3.73 and would like a 3.23-3.55 and really the converter too as it is super loose up top already and dropping the gear ratios is gonna compound that problem.

i am looking for some 28" regular street tires (i've got a spare set of pro-stars) so i don't have to drive everywhere on the slicks.

ya, i think it pulled the wheels a little bit but in the car i can never tell. it never feels like it.

as for the shift points it is hard to say since the lingenfelter 3 step is causing my datalogger to cut off when i transition from the low limiter to the high limiter so i've got nothing to go by except i think i shifted higher.

got a big grudge race this weekend with a local nitrous car. should be fun.

rewired a ton of stuff under the hood to clean things up (funny how adding new electronics all the time you can end up with quite a mess). hopefully everything works good on sunday (and hopefully i get a new best)!

Absolutely sick! I assume you like the lingenfelter 3 step. Do you have a part number for it?

Today is my first chance for TNT, I was told by the track owner to only run my car to the 330ft. He said it was going to be too cold and the track too green. Tomorrow it will be 10 degrees warmer at 55 degrees. I may just work on launching the car today and full passes tomorrow. You know how that goes though, if it launches good it will be hard to get out of it.

I won't run anywhere close to where yours is but am hopeful I will be near the 5's.

in case anyone was wondering these are both true 5 second 93 octane street cars (albeit i'm spraying meth under boost and he's got a stand alone fuel system with race gas for nitrous enrichment). we ran twice and both runs we were both in the 5's.

here we are cruising to the track. only changes made once we got there was tire pressure.

I am a fan no doubt. Very nice work, unbelievable how hard that car leaves without flipping upside down or standing on the bumper. Epic
