Default Turbo Vs. Procharger

What are the pros/cons. I have most parts to procharger my TA except the head unit. I was going to get an F1a in early feb. now the Huron speed turbo kit looks real tempting.

I thought this as well until i realized that i could put an entire kit together for the price of an F1A head unit that would support 800ish hp. I was originally going to go procharger and changed my mind

It is tough now with all of the price increases of the Procharger stuff, and then you still need your supporting long tube headers and such. In the end of the day a Procharger set-up runs very well, but you can get a better performing turbo set up now for much less money!

I already have the long tubes waiting to go on. (Arh 1 7/8) I'm more curious about sound with the turbo kit. How soon is the TT kit coming out and what has to be relocated? I have a Grand National and love the turbo but hate the lag..

Its all a matter of preference. I have always loved and wanted a Procharger so I bought one. I want to get another fbody to add to the garage but it will be twin turbo cause i'm not a fan of big singles.

Sound wise, i dont think there is a better sound than a big cammed pro charged car! Turbos sound cool to but if your going off of sound procharger wins all day, turbo sounds good i just prefer the loud whistle lol, almost reminds me of old school gear drive cars lol

Im doing twins because they are cheaper than any procharger and they'll spool quicker than a big single. I like it when my s10 sounds like a harrier jet also

Here's my TC78 setup at 13psi, I'm partial but personally I love a turboed V8 sound and performance.

I decided to go procharger because from all the reading I did they are easier to make reliable... Heat issues is a big problem with turbo's and with a procharger you don't have nearly as much heat. If you're wanting to make HUGE power a turbo might be the cheaper way to go, but for a reliable setup you want to drive daily and make 500+ hp procharger is a better choice IMO.
