Default High compression with turbo questions

Was thinking I swapping to 317 72cc heads with a zr1 cam and a 70-78mm with a .96ar on my current 13.7:1 setup, by me switching to 72cc heads it would put me right at 11.7:1 with a.054 gasket and a dynamic of 9.19:1. Any opinions vehicle would have to run 110 or e85 which it does now. Need opinion before I start diggin to deep thanks

That's what I figure but my engine guy said I'm crazy it would be stupid to run a turbo with 11.7:1 wouldn't have any timing in it etc. so far I hae seen more than a handful of import and domestic guys doing this but need reassurance. any mote opinions or info guys keep it going

well if you go to any of the big races, the fast guys say
"build the biggest baddest nitrous motor you can, then throw a blower on it"

Right now a racetronix pump with 52lb that's it. I'm thinkin of running a inline 044 with the racetronix pump and I have a boost reference regulator from fuel lab and 90-100lb injectors. Any input on fuel pumps car is a c5 z06 auto swap

you could run a dual walbro setup and some 80lb injectors which would be a budget friendly set up and still support the power you want to make..

thats what im going to run.. 76mm turbo on a 347 ls6 engine.

IMO I would ditch the pistons and get some boost pistons and lower your CR to 9.5-1 and you can stay on pump gas and run a intercooler.. 11.5 is really high and you'll be limited to the amount of boost you can run..

I'm not on pump now lol and I'm not trying to spend 600 on bottom end rebalancing etc I think I can get comp down to 11.249 with .060 gasket and polishing the cc of the heads. All I want is 600s

keep the .050 gaskets and run it, lots of guys (including myself) have ran boosted setups on high 10s to 11:1 on pump gas. Hell look at all these stock LS2's around with boost and they have nearly the compression you do. With E85 you can do a N/A compression of about 16:1, so think about that.
Hell I ran my 9.5:1 motor to 15# on pump gas with no intercooler

Id pick a different cam to run. The LS9 cam is gonna create a **** ton of dynamic and the thing has negative 22.5 degrees of overlap at .050.

A cam with the proper valve events will bring the dynamic down a touch and widen your tuning window when it comes to timing.

If you dont change it. Ill be surprised if you get 14 degrees in it.

The reality of it is..we put the static in it so we can run the big cams to get the cylinder filled as much as possible and still create a ton of cylinder pressure.

High compression with a small cam that has no overlap is gonna make for a overly sensitive motor on the tuneup.
