I think you will have fun with the t56 just take down some bikes on the highway. one thing don't get drag radials and plan on dumping the clutch because I had that same clutch you will snap that rear end real quick!

Good idea. The auto is definitely the best and fastest set up but that's another 4k min by the time you get a tranny rear driveshaft and all the stuff that goes with it.

i would want the 4l80e and a FAB 9'' rear if a had my choice.... Or a bulletproofed t56 with equal strong clutch with the FAB 9 lol... I like gears even though it slows your time down at the track

Some going back together pictures for you guys

Had to move the oil return around because the line was hitting the belt.
Now it fits

I plan on firing it up the end of the week. I gotta get the intercooler and remaining components on today.

Oil return line on

I am really looking forward to the results on this one. I really considered the S475, but eventually decided on the S480. Curious what it might have looked like. Although I did go 4L80e.

Don't forget I'm stock pistons rods bearings bolts lol. Only mods to engine are ls6 oil pump, valve springs, pushrods, ls2 chain, and of coarse the cam. Not gonna push it past whatever the 10 psi jgs spring in gate let's it go. Whatever psi that may be. Cause I'm broke as a joke after this build and I wanna drive it at least a few times before it breaks lol... gonna be spraying 100% meth twin 10lb per hr nozzles... extra safe... or at least try to be..

Right there with ya on the stock short block. I did an upgraded oil pump as well and a double roller chain. I am doing E85 and a A2W intercooler though rather than meth.

Give it time. They are actually supposed to be building a E85 refinery in Tennessee that uses Kudzu for its source. Guy calls it Kudanol, lol. I think E85 will become more prevalent in a lot of places.

Fuel miledge kinda sucks a little from it, but cheaper than regular unleaded for 105 octane of fun! My 10 gallon fuel cell should have around a 170 mile range if I stay out of the loud pedal, lol.
