why are you spraying meth at 6psi,i know on my GN usually you find where you start to detonate which was about 17psi on 93 oct for my v6,and spray (meth, alki)to raise octane to run about 22-23 psi...arent you just killing the tune at 6psi...

almost every GN i see race breaks up every pass so... i dont listen to a word those guys say haha

you can activate it whenever you want and tune around it without issue, i just want it in there when the boost starts, usually around 50% of my total boost pressure

My alcohol starts at 8 PSI and progressively gets stronger as the boost rises. Not sure what kind of kit you have. My Buick doesn't break up.. Ever. Well, it did before I switched to a colder plug. Was causing some issues there. Denmah won't be killing his tune, considering he knows what he is doing. If his kit isn't progressive, he can just remove some fuel to compensate for the alcohol as boost ramps in. The TurboTweak chip in my Buick does the same thing. I also have a progressive kit. I have no problem with breaking up or power being killed.. Although tuning it myself, I may not be getting full potential anyways.

its super frustrating for me knowing what i can do in minutes with a MS system haha but i dont wanna buy a shift controller and would rather not rewire everything, bleh,

ill take a break and see what i can do,

i didnt change anyting, went for a drive today and it was running rich as ***** stalling, wouldnt start, wouldnt idle, then the air fuel was all over, then it started running more like ****

i just drove home and pulled all the plugs and did a compression check i was sure something was fucked but every cyl is 170-180psi

so, annoyed today haha thats what i accomplished

With a single I am careful to not open the exhaust valve too early and I am stingier with overlap so I don't choke the housing and cause the engine to peak at a lower RPM than it should.
I have a question for you, Since you custom grind cams and seem to do a good job.. What do you think of these cam specs for a turbo?

234/228 .576/.571 113

Its some weird old SLP cam that I bought brand new for $150 and put in my 5.3, I think it will do pretty well with a single setup.. Iv just never found any info on this cam and wanted some input..

Not trying to take away from your thread Demah. Feel free too chime in haha, Im building my Firebird based on your Fairmont... JY 5.3, ebay studs, $50 turbo

So far, for me, megasquirt has been successful. Its strait forward for fuel table tuning. It really makes efi live and hp tuners look unnecessary. I will say this, if its an ls swapped vehicle, I would use MS. If it came with an LS based engine then I would do the efi live/hp tuners.

I hate to say this but any chance you got a set of knock off 80 lb injectors? could pull ones out of one of the other cars to eliminate the injectors

Hey Denmah, what settings do you have for the injectors? I might be able to help a bit on those injector settings for the 80s in hptuner if you want.

He told me the only thing he changed for the injectors was flow rate.

well, found the problem, both! if my chinese wastegates from a friend are bad.

both of them the valve guides failed and stuck open, throwing off my AFR and making the truck sound like the exhaust was blown open somewhere, and also making it feel like dogshit.
