Cool. Interested to see how this build goes. In for results.

BTW, how are you installing your KMJ studs? I have seen a multitude of different torque readings. I think I read that they recommend 55 ft-lbs.

yeah we did 40-80 on ours but apparently you are not supposed to go over 65 i hear, ls1240 or whatever his username is i think, he said he talked to the owner and he said no more than 65.

ive done 75 and 80, with a HF wrench and havent had a problem but i dip them in used motor oil.

ill probably do 30-65 knowing thats what they are supposed to be set to.

Talkin 80e's hear bro......
I am running their 3600 in my 80e. Its a single disk. As long as you don't lock it up under boost you are fine. Set the lock up table in hp tuners to unlock if you go above about 40% throttle and you will be fine. I might upgrade to the triple later on, but for now its fine.

Congrats on the new truck. You are stepping up in the world, lol. Went out and bought you a Caddy, lol. Mounting the turbos under the truck will be cool imo. Hate to see the mont go, but I am the same way, its fun to build them driving them can get boring, sometimes.

some support multiple O2 and others do not...

i think you can configure spare inputs on a few of them, so if there is something you are not using that is 0-5v i dont see why it cant be changed.

DIY auto tune is very very good at answering questions like this, on their facebook page and over email.

you download the free version, and you just register it, and you pay 25-50 dollars for it i think

worth the money for them to continue building an awesome product IMO

Hey Matt,

The proper procedure for torquing the LS1 head studs is as follows:

If using moly:
First pass 25lbft second pass at 50lbft, and finally a 3rd at 70lbft
Install the 5 smaller bolts and torque them to 22lbft

If using motor oil:
First pass 30lbft second pass at 60lbft, and finally a 3rd at 80lbft
Install the 5 smaller bolts and torque them to 28lbft

These instructions should generally be the same as found with ARP studs. When in doubt, their torque specs may be applied to the studs we sell. Let us know if you have any other questions, we can be reached by email or by phone!

Thanks,

Wow- HPtuners and not M-squirt, Im shocked! Those 411 ecu's are really nice to work with, I got one on my '68 GMC w/ Vortec 7.4/4l80e. Runs like a Cadillac with a bigass cam...
I cant wait to see you do your thing with the truck....
