yeah i am just unsure how to tweak it

zero it, cut it in half, take out 20% add 20%

max it out?

haha i have no idea, and it doesnt really bother me too much, ill get around to it.

i am more concerned with getting the diff going, and then seeing if i am putting down good power or is my converter or trans slipping.

that stuff is higher in my priority list.

i picked up a config file that someone linked me too, you start the car from idle cold all the way to warm up and it creates a fix histo for your idle air flow tables, i have to do some reading up on it and give that a try then.

the russ k file i emailed you about will give you the exact numbers to put into your RAF, there is no guessing at all, just run the truck from cold to hot and then past the numbers into the RAF, done.

You should be very pleased when the new "locker" goes in. Never had much dealings with the 14 bolt version but I've personally broke two of the 8.6 10 bolt versions in the last 3 years in my 03 Yukon. Last one broke in January and took out my 60e with it when it locked up randomly while turning lol.

My car does that same idle hang ****, till i hit a stop. ***** annoying. Apparently it happens mostly after you do an idle relearn.

after you run the russ k file you can basically figure out the values that you don't have (for temperatures colder or hotter then you can achieve during the test), just look at it graphically and continue the slope both directions.

This config is not the holy grail. It definitely helps as long as long as the other idle and rolling air, fuel and timing is correct. Just like in the beauty industry, You may have to apply, lather rinse and repeat. ;-)

swapped out the rears today, welded junkyard open diff, vs stock gov lock

it was pretty bad, i jacked up the rear and put it in neutral, i could spin one wheel and the other would not spin at all, or if it would spin i could offer just a little resistance and the clutch would spin, they were both totally worn out from the mileage and i bet the hp i was throwing at it was not helping at all

fired it up, and went to go fill the tank and beat it up!

she hit 212k on the way home and it feels like i picked up 200hp now that the power is getting to the equally all the time.

We need videos. The "new" gov lock rear I just swaped into my Yukon does that. Spin one by hand and the other doesn't move. They are suppose to act like a open diff till is sees one tire go over 100rpm and not suppose to lock up above 25ish mph. I swaped one into a thirdgen of mine before and it would spin on launch then quit spinning the left tire when I hit second.
