Will this work to make 450-500rwhp? I am wanting to turbo my 5.3 in my vega wagon. I do not want anything max effort or huge power. I would like to make in the neighborhood of 450rwhp. I have found a pretty good deal on a pair of rebuilt SVO turbos. I have seen many 5.0's running this setup to make decent power.
My question is do you think they will work on my 2008 5.3 with 799 heads and a 216\220 .561" cam with 114lsa. I will also be running a blowthru carb. since I am already set up for the carb. I only need 10-12lbs of boost and around 5800-6000rpm, I think?
I know I could run a bigger single but like the idea of the twins and think it will be easier to package in my car. Thank you for the help.

you should make that power easy...in fact I am almost certain you will hit it at less than 10lbs of boost. Probably more like 6-8lbs will hit the 450 mark. I believe those turbos are capable of around 600fwhp together

Thanks alot guys. I thought they would do the job just needed some reassurance.
I do have another ?, I have solid motor mounts in the car. Is this going to be ok to do this with an aluminum block or would I be better off with a motor plate. It is just a low power street car but I don't want to crack the block around the mounts. I could use urethane mounts but I don't want the engine to move really. If it moves much it will get into the hood.

That's good to hear. I didn't have any concerns when I was building them, then the other night I work I got to second guessing myself. Thanks for the encouragement.

They'll work great I run those turbo's a long time ago on a 350 chevy and it worked great even with a blow thru carb. It'll make good power down low. It's been a while since i've seen somebody using those on a chevy but they work good on small cubes.
