That's bad ***! Sounds like she's getting spooled. What's your timing at on the brake?

For those wondering if the Power Glide would still launch my heavy *** car. Here is my first test pass this morning with the Power Glide and 3.42's, plus a 30" tall Drag radial.

I think she passed the test. This was on 5-6lbs of boost.

If you are using Hptuners to log then add burst knock to monitor also. I guarantee that is whats making the timing not match.

I log burst knock. Mine is never 2, sometimes it is 1. something but never 2. I thought anything below 3 is okay.

Anyways, we had an ice storm today. It figures. However, I spent 7 straight hours trying to mess with retarding the timing and leaning out the fuel mixture in the cells right before and after the car hits 7-8 lbs of boost. I also had to wait an hour between each try because I was forced to try this in my garage. Don't want to accidentally forget to let the transbrake go. lol

Well I got it to work. I am shocked I got it to work. I was able to get 10lbs of boost on the foot brake and 13-14lbs on the transbrake. I was able to get it pretty quickly. Surely if I can leave with that much boost my car is going to do well on the front half of the track.

In the video I went ahead and showed all my guages to show where I keep everything.

I always just get rid of burst knock since its not real. What did you finally end up doing to get a few extra pounds? Leaner a/f and less timing?

at 20 psi boost no IC, I aim for 10.8-10.9 afr, timing starts off at 15* then pulls to 11ish as IAT climb, br7 plugs

I plan on truning the boost up a tad more & I feel like it could take some more timing & possibly lean it to 11.0 what you guys think?
