should be very different. i figure the 5.3L is way stronger than the 5.7L in it.

What was your engine cleaning secret? Apply some sort of degreaser then power wash?

Purple power straight up in a sprayer, then hit it with my larger pressure washer on 190 degrees.

Might want to upgrade from the RST to the RXT unless you plan on keeping the power less than 800 but then if you do the F1 it would be kind of lazy under 800 whereas the D1 would really shine. Speaking in terms of efficiency only.

Yea, you are right. I am on the fence about what to do with the blower. I am thinking that I am going to do the trans and diff right now and upgrade the blower later. My biggest concern is belt wrap with a small pulley on the D1.

Very cool man, thanks! Saw a '04 Z at a dealership this morning on my way to work and it reminded me of this build! Let me know if you decide to go F1A on your vette. Ill take the D1 off u as I am going A&A bracket as well.

diff, trans and torque tube out in the most ghetto way ever. its done and ready for the new stuff. motor out next week.

'08 Z06 2.66 ratio TR6060 trans on the way
'09 27 spline diff on the way, and heading to RPM to be but to 30 spline and update the output shafts
'07 cradle on the way

so I have everything for the swap in the driveline I wanted.

LOL

Headed to TI next week so progress may be minimal.

Every time I see a Vette diff/prop shaft connected like that, all I can think about is the part in Austin Powers where mini me starts humping "the laser". lol

Haha, so true.

The old diff went to a tranny tech at the local GM dealer and in turn he is rebuilding the TR6060 with all new parts.

Sure did. Forum mod Jason Short wanted a D1 and I gladly made a trade/cash deal with him in return for his F1C. WAYYYY more blower than I need for the 5.3, but I am going to build a 365 over the winter. I will pulley down and keep it tame for now.

Hoping to have it on the ground and ready by KC2K. Will be working on it next week after I get back from Texas Invitational.

Sneek peek:
